Genesis Hydra Ability Question

Alright so I play Genesis Hydra for 10 giving me 8 mana to search for a non land permanent to play onto the field. If i find another Genesis Hydra among those cards, can I choose it and use that 8 mana to play it onto the field and use that Genesis Hydra's ability for 6 mana?

No you can't, you don't play the second Genesis Hydra for starters and X would be 0 when it hits the field
