Common-Uncommon Deck
Hello. I'm participating in a common-uncommon tournament in which (you guessed it!) decks are made completely from common and uncommon cards. Do you know of any good decks?

There are plenty of powerful Peasant decks... I'm sure a simple search can find you some decent tournament quality ones. It really depends on what type of tournament it is. If it's true Peasant with a cap on 5 uncommons and the rest common, it should be super easy to find tournament level decks. If it's just "no rares or mythics" it's not really a supported format so the "best" deck in that way is a bit harder to nail down.

This is a great Pauper magic site that I use when I do these kinds of tournaments (which I don't do often but they can be good fun)
http://pdcmagic.com/
I do think it's all commons though, no uncommons allowed. I've never played pauper where uncommons are allowed, it would seriously mess with the powerlevel. In my opinion Blue control is already extremly powerful (read overpowered) as many of the best counterspells and card draw are commons and if you add uncommons to that as well it just gets nasty (Mana Drain, Force of Will (although that probably sucks in pauper), Sol Ring...)
Anyway, I usually play Mono Black Control as I enjoy that a lot and it's very strong versus creature decks. You always get some poeple that try infect and mono black just auto kills them. Urzatron decks are fun too, not easy but powerful. Just check the site, it's surprising how powerful decks with only commons can be.

Thanks for the replies you guys, but perhaps I should have explained better. This is an unofficial type 2 (or standard) common-uncommon tournament. There is no limit to the number of uncommons you can play. Last time I used an Izzet Deck, which worked quite nice, and I have improved it since then. The base of this is young pyromancer, guttersnipe, electromancer and nivix cyclops, and a lot of instants to trigger their abilities.
I was also thinking of a white/blue heroic based on battlewise hoplite and hidden strings.
Normally I would just choose the most fun deck and go with it, but I've been looking for Elspeth for quite some time now, so I'm going for the win this time.

The site I posted has standard pauper decks as well, you can base your version on one of those and improve it by putting in superior uncommons. Personally I don't know anything about standard so I can't help you there.
You mean Elspeth the planeswalker? That's a mythic.
if it's an unofficial fun tournament isn't it best to just brew something yourself. Can't be very hard with such a limited pool of cards, most of which you can already exclude due to sheer utter crapness. Your typical 3/3 vanilla for 5 for instance :) Exclude those and your cardpool will shrink to what, 100 cards if it's even that many, probably not.

Red or Black devotion would still be strong without all the rares. Mogis's Marauder and Grey Merchant are ridiculous in black and Red has Fanatic of Mogis which can do a ton of early damage on the back of a rush... Izzet or Gruul rush would also be reasonably powerful too.
Mass removal is grossly weakened by the lack of rares so token/rush strategies are likely going to be best. White and Red do that best but I think red is going to be the stronger option. Who knows...
I would probably play Izzet/Red aggro but I favor Izzet to begin with. Most of the good izzet guys are uncommons anyway. Theros added a ton of cheap instants with scry which will improve consistency as well as heroic and devotion which both would be strong in the deck. Spellheart Chimera is pretty excellent too.
