Say I am running a black/red deck. If I play a Chandra one round, can I play a Liliana the next and keep both?

If I can have 2 planeswalkers out at one time, can I use both of their activated abilities during one of my main phases?

The planeswalker rule only cares about the name of the walker in the type line. You can have Jace, Liliana, Sorin, Garruk, Chandra, Gideon and any others out at once and use them all on your turn.

What you can't do is have a Jace, Architect of Thought out at the same time as a Jace Beleren.
