Deck Challenge.... Dragon's Breath!

Challenge is a Burn deck with Dragon's. Pretty simple right??

Well I want this deck to be under 150$, tournament style, and fun to play! Keep the theme around dragon's as much as possible! :p:):p:)

Not really a burn deck, but whatever. Braid of Fire pumps up your fiebreathing dragons, levels Kargan Dragonlord, and pays for Dragon Tyrant's upkeep cost.

Do I get bonus points for getting it as close to $150 as possible? 149.99 Mid.

You didn't say which format, but you did say "tournament style" so I went standard.

Burn as a win condition by itself, is very weak at the moment in standard. So I went Red/Blue...

Blue gives you the draw you need to keep red from burning out, and gives you lots of stall to hide behind. That gives you time to either burn for a win, or play your dragons, and smash for the win.

(mtg v says the deck is $149.00, thats counting the land... you can build this for around 70 bucks... even less if you trade for most of it)

Money wise, right on the nose! lol I love the idea you have behind this deck, potentially swamp the board with huge dragons with Sneak Attack. But it seems to run slow without protection, every hand I drew seemed to be most effective around T5-7. Can you think of any small adjustments for a little more defense early rounds? I like then idea you have with the dragons, just make those adjustments and shoot me a redone deck!

Standard is preferred in my book, but as stated I didn't choose a format! Love that big wall the dragons are hiding behind shooting out fireballs at anyone trying to attack. Great poking burn, good defense setup, and the dragons are there. Right now the challenge is for you, but I'm sure someone else can be creative too!

You could perhaps add a Dragonmaster Outcast or two but they would turn into early game chump blockers which defeats the purpose of including them. I really don't think it needs to add anything though. Perhaps swap out a larger dragon for an extra hatchling. Perhaps a Terrain Generator to help ramp.

There's 4 lightning bolts for early defense as well as 3 Dragon Hatchlings. Odds are good that you will get at least one of them to help early defense. The only other "cheap" dragon can't attack or block until later turns anyway. By turn 3, you get all your other burn active or can start playing mana doublers. By turn 4 you can cast 10 additional cards. There's really not much you can do to make it stronger early game when the whole point is big dragons which tend to cost a lot. It already has an explosive late game which will catch most players by surprise.

Any additional early game ramp/protection would be at the cost of burn which you've already noted another poster didn't include enough of. It also would break away from the Dragon theme that you asked for.
