Considering that the biggest barrier to entry for new players into Magic is the price, I thought it would be interesting to set up a deck challenge based on being cheap and seeing what came out of it. Build the best deck you can that's standard legal and can be purchased for $3/3tix or less on MTGO.

To make it a little easier for you, there are some exceptions:


* You may assume that the player has one of each common in M12 (e.g., you only have to buy 3x Mana Leak or 3x Llanowar Elves).
* To ease mana restrictions, you may also assume the player has invested in the best cheap mana fixer available right now: 4x Evolving Wilds.
* Basic land is free.
* The price restriction is for the mainboard; there will be no sideboard.


Justify your prices with an online retailer; cardbotmtgo.com probably has the simplest interface to use.
