Standard Deck Development
Two Approaches to R/U Aggro
Simply put, I've come up with two standard decks that combine the "add +1/+1 counters when I get through" mechanics from the 'strad block with a variety of effects that make such critters hard to block. Throw in a ton of card draw options, 2 Shocks and 4 Volt Charges for burn, and an aggressively low mana curve, and the results are here and here.
Which of the two approaches is better? Both decks can waste a foe by the end of turn 5, but I want to know which one will do so more reliably. Also, how's my sideboard?

Many thanks to feedback from SaltySack; I've got a third take on the deck completed. That version has an even lower mana curve, sacking the Heirs for Curse of Stalked Prey, the Flight Spellbombs for Thrummingbirds, and the Volt Charges for Nightbird's Clutches.

I would cut the curse of stalked prey for 2 more delvers, a snap caster and 1gitaxian probe, then I would cut the curiosities for 2 more probes. I also like gutshot more than artful dodge. Maybe cut the panics for some red burn spells help delver flip and proc bloodthirst. Delver and snap caster are too good to pass up and probe is just a great card. Also I would have a red 1 drop in your sideboard for when your not playing against humans so that your nobles don't become vanilla 1/1 dudes.

That sounds like an idea for an entirely different deck, the nobles, curses, and dodges are what get me multiple 3/3s on turn 3 and keep them growing. I included the Noble for his "grow fat when not blocked" ability, not his power to get around humans. If I wanted to do a "burn first, ask questions later" deck built around the Delver, I'd rock with:
-3 Panic Spellbomb
-3 Thrummingbird
-3 Stormblood Berserker
-4 Stromkirk Noble
-2 Curiosity
-4 Curse of Stalked Prey
+1 Snapcaster Mage
+2 Delver of Secrets
+4 Shock
+4 Arc Trail
+4 Gitaxian Probe
+4 Tunnel Ignus
Maybe even drop the Dodges and Clutches for Thought Scours and Incinerates, or go Runechanter's Pike. But that'd be a very different deck.
