Wrexial, Jack of All Trades

There are several Wrexial deckbuilders around that debate the merits of going the discard route versus milling versus countering versus board wiping. I am attempting a hybrid theme (for multiplayer EDH) that is more discard focused, but also includes some milling, countering, and destruction. With cards in opponents' graveyards, I will focus on using Wrexial and other cards to steal creatures and spells. This deck also includes ways to copy/steal from outside the graveyard, such as Knowledge Exploitation. Lastly, this deck also includes drawing and recursion to ensure each turn is not wasted.

I have spent the last few months working on this Wrexial deck and have finally hit a wall; I have whittled down potential cards and need help getting this monster down to 100 cards. Let's jump right into it!

((I have added notes to indicate when a card fits into another category, as well.))

Also, if you feel there is a card worth adding (even land adjustments), please suggest that, as well! I'd ideally like to know what you recommend I cut in its place, of course.

Thank you thank you thank you! =)

Taking a quick look through what you have here I do have a few suggestions to make.

One thing I am seeing that looks like you've missed for the group of cards to exile that every black deck in EDH should run is Bojuka Bog.

Two other lands that you should consider are Academy Ruins and Volrath's Stronghold. Being able to re-use some of your creatures and artifacts from your graveyard is always helpful.

Also, I do believe in most EDH groups, Panoptic Mirror is banned. Time Warp is a big reason for this.

As for tutors... you're missing Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor which are an auto-in over Diabolic Tutor and Beseech the Queen. But of course that is if you happen to own those cards.

Personally I wouldn't be using Bloodchief Ascension or Liliana's Caress in this format. They're great cards, but the frequency of using them just generally makes you a target in multiplayer. Especially an active Bloodchief.

In place of Deprive I would rather have something along the lines of Forbid. Yes, it costs 1 more, but this format normally allows that without a problem. The other bonus to it, is the lack of having no choice but to return that Island to your hand.

Personally I would run Damnation over Life's Finale but of course that is personal views.

If you're using the Praetor's Grasp merely for the purpose to exile a card from your opponent, I personally think Extract does the job just fine.

Also another possible card to add, would be Twincast. It just turns those tutors into two tutors, or gives you the option to run something that [manau][manab] doesn't normally have access to.

And on the mill concept I'd like to point out that Szadek, Lord of Secrets is awesome in that department. Really can work well with Wrexial.

And on another note: Every blue EDH deck I've ever played has had a Cryptic Command. I love that card.

Hopefully I've given you some ideas to play with!

Thank you for replying! I will be using some of your suggestions (not all, only because of budget constraints).

In fact, one of your suggestions, Cryptic Command, has made me rethink the theme a bit, possibly now leaning towards a discard/bounce deck, instead of trying to to discard, mill, etc.

I'll post with updates!
