My 1st attempt at deck building

I'm building this deck with the intention of bringing it to Friday Night Magic. I just moved from my small town in the middle of nowhere to a huge city, so I have no idea how serious it is. I've also never made a sideboard since I've only ever played with friends and quick games online. Any suggestions on this deck?

One important thing to note with this deck: You have no creatures under the cost of 3 mana. You will probably find this to cause a very slow progression in your deck when you are first getting going.
