Trying to make a Counter control deck!

So the first deck I bought about a month ago of magic, had some 'Cancel's in it, and I found them hilariously fun. I cast-- no you don't. Just lead to some funny banter with my friends. So a few weeks later I've decided I want to make a counterdeck, like just fully focused on stopping anything and everything my opponent wants to cast. I'm not very well versed in cards yet, so the deck as it is probably has a fairly narrow scope in its card selection.

I really appreciate any and all help anyone could give. To be honest I don't care about the format right now; its just a casual deck for fun. Thanks everyone.

A lot of players make these kinds of decks at one point or another. They are quite effective, but are game breakers and will make people not want to play against you when you play that deck more than once.

Seems you have a good set up and the right "Key" cards.

Thanks. I realize looking at the deck as it evolves and I could see how my friends would hate me =(
