Break This Card Challenge - Locket of Yesterdays

Been a while since I posted a 'Break This Card' challenge (been playing Skyrim too much  ), so here's another. The card I want you to break is Locket of Yesterdays. This card has some additional rules:

-Locket of Yesterdays reduces only the amount of mana you need to pay to cast a spell. The spell's mana cost and converted mana cost are not affected.

-Colored costs can't be reduced by this effect. For example, a spell that costs :mana2::manar: can't be reduced by more than :mana2:.

-The spell being cast doesn't reduce its own cost, even if you're casting it from a graveyard. At the time the cost is reduced, the spell is on the stack.

RULES:
1) Have fun.
2) The deck must abuse Locket of Yesterdays.

I dont got the time for builing a whole deck at the moment... if you want me to, then reply, but asked for a way to get all your kokusho's into the graveyard...
Since Kokusho is a spirit you can use "Iname, Death Aspect". and then as you said yourself, use "Living Death" to make your opponent 20 lose 20 life and you gain 20... I dont like the idea because Iname, Death Aspect cost 6 mana and if you draw a kokusho, you need to play it before playing the rest with living death...
But this is the best way i see to make a Kokusho nuke:)

i wouldnt call it breaking it but certainly getting more bang from it i dont know the names of the cards but i know there are some that allow you to put all copies of a named card or countered card in its owners graveyard use something like that with a snapcaster mage and load your deck with flashback cards the locket will basicly rid you of the more expensive flashback cost and make it about the same as a regular cast so if you self mill win conditions with flashback you could use them sooner maye even cheaper than normal

Interesting idea. I'm not 100% sure Locket would work on flashback costs as a flashback cost is an alternative cost (as far as I know). Will need to look into it...

im sure either but since flashback is still considered casting i would think the cast cost associated would override the original cost for the lockets ability if you find out for sure please let me know i enjoy learing more about te rules and ways around them lol

This is the deck list that comes to my mind when I look at Locket of Yesterdays, the card has some potential, especially if you have two in play.

Kind of utilized the card how we used to utilize the tempest medallions back in the day :)

So far my favorite use of the Locket is donating it via my Zedruu EDH deck. Totally useless, lol. I'll try to think up ways to break it, though.

Not sure if I like this or not--basically uses the bloodbond Kokusho nuke, but uses Locket to cast Kokusho much cheaper. In theory, you really only need a locket, bloodbond, buried alive, and Kokusho to pull the combo off.

very rough, preliminary thoughts.

I've been carefully reading the wording for the locket and flashback. I'm only about 80% sure, but the way I see it the locket should reduce the flashback cost. My reasoning lies in my experience in designing an evoke deck and playing against a prowl deck. In both cases the respective 'Bannerets' does reduce the cost payed for the evoke / prowl. (I hope I made sense)
