The idea should be obvious, irritate the opponent and generally stop them from doing anything significant early on. then play something big and large such as bolas, thraximundar, kaervek etc.

They'll lose plenty of health along the way obviously so it'll likely be a matter of finishing them off.

I'll admit im new to the modern format, participated in my first tournament tonight and came out with 3 wins 3 losses with a mono black control deck.

Always been a fan of the grixis colour spread. so some advice on this would be much appreciated. I really like the isochron scepter's. panoptic mirror's with time warp's for example may be pretty nice too.

But the lack of creatures is kind of bad. Some advice on this would be grand.
