I had an idea to make use of the Vampires +1/+1 Counters when Innistrad first came out, but I was ignorant of Proliferate then because I had just gotten back into Magic: The Gathering for the Innistrad Prerelease.

Then I read an article on Daily MTG that made me wish I hadn't cut apart my Vampire deck and sold all the money cards. The main idea behind the deck are these two cards:

Not only do the names go together, but the Enchantment gives all your Creatures the same Ability as Bloodcrazed Neonate and Stromkirk Noble. Add that to the Unblockable Ability, and the Hexproof Ability, and you've got a pretty big potential for a powerhouse.

The next Ability you need is one you are already considering: Proliferate. Why wait for the next Turn to give your Creatures a second +1/+1 Counter? That takes way too long. Volt Charge is a good start, however there are also cards in Blue Mana (:manau:) that can offer you Proliferate as well.
