Convoluted Combos

Hey, all! We all know when Magic gets competitive, it's all about the most efficient combos possible--the best play with the least cards for the best outcomes. But, when we step back from that, who doesn't love a ridiculous combo that involves something downright ludicrous? Post those combos here, whether you post a deck that explains the combo, or the combo itself. Who can make the most ridiculous combination of cards for a win/loss/draw/infinite combo?

Would my deck Strong hold on Discipline count? It's technically not a combo deck, but (at first glance) it is quite a "ludicrous" deck :p

i use a deck that wins with infinite rod of ruin damage, on about turn 5 or 6 usually, but could go off turn 4

turn one: island and training grounds (activated abillities now cost two less)
turn two: island, etherium sculptor (artifacts cost 1 less)
turn three: island khalni gem (bounce two lands when it comes into play, the artifact taps to add 2 of any one color)
turn four: filigree sages ( 2u: untap target artifact but it only cost u because of training grounds. i use it to create infinite mana with khalni gem)
hopefully i'll have a mind spring or a temple bell or some other blue trickery draw or even a fabricate to go and fetch me a rod of ruin and deal 1 damage a thousand times to anything and everyone

Lets see- I have some pretty crazy combo decks, one of which uses the combo from greenswine's post. Here's a few:
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=146571- training grounds with spawnsire of ulamog
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=146579- lots of funny enchantments including everlasting torment + transcendence
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=146593- a little too straightforward- thopter assembly and time sieve.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=146930- filigree sages, training grounds, master transmuter, and triskelion- 5 cards is fun.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=146981- fastbond, cruicible of worlds, zuran orb, and either seismic assault with some lairs or valakut with some mountains or ghost quarter to kill all their lands. This one may be my favorite.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=147063, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=177009- my two takes on bloodchief ascension and mindcrank.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=177621- melira, phyrexian unlife, soul conduit and some way to get to 0 life- it's fun.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=181381- I lied earlier- this is my favorite. 2 myr galvanizers, palladium myr, and heavy arbalest- who doesn't love it?
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=193267- not truly a combo, but reprecussions with fun ways to abuse it like varchild's war-riders and wojek embermage.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=232212- laboratory maniac, puresight merrow, and paradise mantle (leveler works too). Fun but not too complex.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=233110- intruder alarm, some mana dork, and presence of gond or imperious perfect.

That's all I have for now, but combos are fun so if I have any more, I'll put em in.

We begin with a combo that's slightly hard to think about, but once you've got it down it's a mere 3 card win condition. Don't worry, it will become worse.

1.Have Dual Nature out, along with a Blisterstick Shaman (or Cunning Sparkmage).
2.Cast any valid creature with Champion (let's say Changeling Berserker). You get a Berserkertoken as well due to Dual Nature.
3. Have the Berserker champion the Shaman.
4. Have the Berserkertoken champion the Berserker, exiling it, which causes the championed Shaman to return and deal 1 damage to your opponent. (You also get an Shamantoken, but we can ignore it.)
5. When the Berserker leaves the battlefield, Dual Nature causes Berserkertoken to leave play as well. Because it was championing the Berserker, the Berserker returns along with a new Berserkertoken...
6. return to step 3, win game after 10 or so iterations.

But that's too easy

Your clever opponent kills off your Blisterstick Shaman in response to you casting the Berserker. Fortunately, you have

1. a Quirion Sentinel on the field
2. Taking the place of the Shaman, the Sentintel and its tokens arrive an arbitrary number of times, netting you infinite mana in all colours. (Note that you can break off the combo by sacrificing the changeling berserker instead of exiling anything).
3. Cast a Fireball for---

Oh no, your opponent has a counterspell! Or perhaps you don't like the card art on the X spell you drew. Fortunately, all smart mages have a plan C.

1. Using your remaining infinite mana, cast a Spawnsire of Ulamog.
2. Activate Spawnsire of Ulamog's final ability, bringing in...
3a. well, if you're boring, a trio of legendary eldrazi, that should do it.
3b. but if you're playing casual (i.e. no sideboard size restrictions), why not bring in a few hundred legendary eldrazi? After you win this match you're sure your mother will respect your decision to spend your college savings on several dozen emrakuls. (The hoi poloi can make this even more unnecessarily complicated by using common eldrazi, a Leyline of Singularity, and an Elixir of Immortality.)
4. All your eldrazi trigger the legendary rule, immediately going to your graveyard.
5. Their hit-the-graveyard clause causes all of them to be shuffled back into your suddenly massive library. (or you shuffle it all back with your elixir)
6. Play Battle of Wits
7. Inform your opponent that they have lost to the well-known Immortal Dual Quirion Changeling Eldrazi Wits Singularity combo.

(of course, Battle of Wits only wins on your upkeep, so real men do this during their opponent's endstep by flashing out a Needlebug and using Arcum Dagsson to turn it into a Vedalken Orrery...)

Keep 'em coming, guys!

The one that caused me to start this challenge went a little something like this:

T1: Swamp, dark ritual, Plague Stinger/Flensermite/Ichorclaw/etc, entomb a Soverign of Lost Alara.
T2: Reanimate Soverign, (or drop an Island and Flash/Hulk it out instead), swing with your infect creature, search for Eldrazi Conscription via Soverigns, your Plague Stinger is now a 12/12 flying infect trample annih. 2.

Another fun flash/hulk is to drop an infect creature turn 1, flash/hulk for 4 knotvine paladin and a bunch of 0 cost creatures, swing for a ridiculous amount.

I also really like this deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=90235 --defender deck that uses wojek embermage to ping sprouting phytohydra and make a bunch of defender tokens.

Nacatl-Bomb: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=207986

My relatively budget take on fish: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=136497 Make a bunch of merfolk wizard tokens, use aphetto grifter to tap their whole board and trap them, then day of the dragons your bazillion 1/1 merfolk wizards for a bazillion 5/5 red Dragons.

Looking forward to some more ridiculous combos...

Here's a fun one:
1)Have two mnemonic walls and a sphinx bone wand on the field
2)Cast Timewarp
3)cast Ghostway
4)When your mnemonic walls reenter the battlefield, return Timewarp and ghostway to your hand.
5)Repeat the earlier steps.

I will admit that its kinda hard to pull off, considerably expensive mana wise, but its fun.

I consider it a combo so:

This deck can win maybe turn 4-5 if done right. It's also a post-rotation deck just to let you know.

last night I had a
Playing a 5 player free for all
Opalescence
and
Furnace of Rath
In play with 4 white mana open.

16 creatures in play total on the board (including my animated Furnace)

The active player used Chandra, the Firebrand +1 to a different player to do 2 damage (due to the furnace)

However in response I cast Mirrorweave targeting the furnace making Chandra deal: 65,536 damage with the +1.
Then he cast another 1 mana spell that does 1 damage to a player, (forget what the card was) killing a 2nd player.

No idea why he didnt kill me, On my turn I cast mirrorweave again and lightning bolt the 2 remaining players for 384 damage each. (there was al ot less creatures in play.)

Funnything was no one saw any of that coming :D

Pretty much any ally deck that incorporates blue/green could be an absurd combo. I've seen someone get infinte mana in an ally deck on turn 4. Also while it wasn't an infinte combo, my friend once gained 1125 life with his green/white ally deck. He cast genesis wave for 23 and threw down 15 allies, while he had 10 on the field already, among those 15 where 2 ondu clerics, and there was 1 on the field already. Looking at gaining 25 life x 3 for the ondu clerics=75 and since 15 allies entered the field, the ability triggers 15 times, so you take that 75x15=1125. I was pretty pissed when he did this to me.
