Blightsteel Drop
This is what I have so far:
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=229862
It's meant to be a pseudo control reminiscent of the Kiki-Jiki deck played back in the original Mirrodin block. Since the next block comes out within a couple months, I'd like to avoid using any Zendikar while building this.
I've playtested it a couple of times in casual play while still missing a few of the key cards, and it can drop a Blightsteel rather reliably under the right conditions, or otherwise drop another flying beatstick.
I'm really just looking for advice on what cards to keep or throw out in order to more quickly drop a Blightsteel or set up a field that allows Omen Machine to ensure that I have the advantage while it's effect is active. I messed around with the idea of stressing Djinn of Wishes in combo with Omen Machine but I can't figure out a good way to keep wish counters flowing on to him to keep the effect going(I have been out of the MTG scene for a little over 2 years so my knowledge of mechanics and new cards is a bit rusty and limited).
Any advice or comments on turning this into a valid deck would be appreciated. I don't expect it to become a top deck in the world but I'm sure I could make something that would work on a local level with this idea.
Thanks in advance.
Echaos

I'd definitely put the 4th Quicksilver Amulet in there, that card is key for getting your guy down. I'd also consider running 2 to 4 more lands to make sure you can cast your spells reliably. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way to tutor for the Amulet post-rotation, so that's all I can think of for now.
