Dralnu's Crusade + Lord of the Undead

Dralnu's Crusade ( ll goblins get +1/+1, are black, and are zombies in addition to their creature type.)

Lord of the Undead (Other Zombie creatures get +1/+1. {1}{B}, {T}: Return target Zombie card from your graveyard to your hand.)

I have been told that lord of the dead's graveyard ability won't work on the golblins if i have both of these 2 cards in play, is this true or is this guys making things up?

The secondary ability of Lord of the undead will not work because the goblins are not affected by Dralnu's crusade when they're in the graveyard. (A ruling as of 4/10/2004)
