I recommend running at least 1 phantasmal image and 1 phyrexian metamorph in pretty much any pod deck. Phantasmal image is especially awesome, but metamorph doesn't require blue. I also don't recommend creatures like myr superion or clone shell as they will be dead cards a good percentage of the time. If you want a good artifact creature to play, I like Myr Propagator. All of its tokens are considered to have a 3 cmc, so as long as you have him or a copy of his down you can always start your pod chain by fetching a 4 cmc creature.
