New idea for standard (Type 2)

I had this idea for a deck and plan to play it until rotations, then replace the Basilisk Collar with Onyx Mage or something better.

This is just a rough draft, but I look forward to any tips.

Thanks.

I have made near final changes to this deck. If not said otherwise, I'm gunna assume it's ok.

Well here's the thing: is this for FNM or PTQs or are you playing this with your friends at the kitchen table. Is it for 1v1 or Multiplayer? These things are kind of important, as not everyone plays the same ways. If it's for FNM, it isn't ready, but I'll save explanations until you can give me some more info. I like the concept though, BW is one of my favorites.

Agreeing with NightLoki here. Have you play-tested this?

One easy change suggested on the deck.

The main purpose of this deck is casual play and 8-person constructed tournaments. I don't play in PTQs becuase I am aware at my lack of deck building skill, therefore no PTQs. It was built for 1v1, but I have playtested it in multiplayer and was unsuccessful. I was targeted instantly by the guys I was playing against (the ones that helped me build the deck). In 1v1 play it works fairly well, but I definitely need assisstance.

Thank you for your help.

Having creatures or basilisk collars for deathtouch is great, maybe take it a step further and make sure you can kill a creature. Mortapod is a seemingly harmless creature that can blow up titans and even Emrakul with the assistance of deathtouch. Early game he can cripple mana elves, lotus cobras, signal pests.

You could consider not running memnites and pests unless you are really trying to push agro in which case the big creatures really are counterproductive. Maybe using wall of omens instead of memnites or pests could be more effective as well as the mortapods. This keeps the deck in line for a bit of a budget.
