mono-red burn: tell me why this is a bad idea

I started playing Magic several months ago and have been attracted to burn since i was taught the rules(to win the game reduce your opponents life total to 0). Simple!, I thought. A few Lava Axes and boom! no problem. I know burn is probably the cheesiest way to win and the easiest thing to avoid, regardless I've made a deck I think is okay. The problem is I don;t own/know enough of the standard cards/interactions to know my meta-game and I havn't played this against enough decks to really understand what it's lacking. Any critiques or suggestions would be appriciated, esspecially sideboard advice. Thanks!

BTW-I intended to attend my first FNM tonight with this deck, so any advice in that regard(other than build a better deck xP) would also be appriciated.

Check out Kiln Fiend. It will benefit in a similar way Chandra's Spitfire will from burn spells. Maybe swap out a few Mountains for Valakut, the Molten Pinnacles. It won't be a shining star in the deck, but it will still provide red mana while giving you a little more direct damage, although it may slow down your mana a little by coming into play tapped.

That's the Kiln Fiend deck I use when I want to have a good ol' burn-fest :D

Kiln Fiend really revolutionized Burn, because he could work as another threat independent of the other aspects of your deck.
