Need ideas on building a deck.

The deck I want is a blue deck that has low mana costing counters spells, any type of low mana costing creature,artifact,enchantment etc that makes it so i can play more than 1 land in a turn. Even if it's an affect a creature has. then have some defenders (i have 4 wall of frost which are pretty useful atm) that will keep me safe for the first few goes so i can get more mana up. I also want to have all my creatures as flying, preferebly sphinxs, which i would use as my big creatures to deal damage to the opponent.

mana leak is a must then. also, may want to consider cancel as well. if you are going to run artifacts, stoic rebuttal is a must imo. mental misstep is also a very nice card as well. there are plenty of counter spells, just depends on what you are wanting to focus on as far as what you are playing against.

you can play 4x silver myr for the blue mana. Also, you can run spreading seas for extra control.

flight spellbomb will allow you to turn a creature without flying into a flier for the turn as well as giving you the ability to draw another card.

just a few ideas for you. Also, these are all standard legal, not sure if you are aiming for that, or wanting to go into extended/legacy.

with the added mana from the myrs, i would free up 3 extra slots by bringing your mana count down to 20 instead of 23. if you are that worried about mana, you can ramp with Everflowing Chalice. so either add 3 chalices, or ad in some more control. I liked some of the cards you had in it before that prevented creatures from attacking/blocking. maybe another set of those? over all, i like the idea, and its a pretty straightforward control that i would play for fun:)

It almost seems that with the exception of the counter spells, green would match your intended play type: quick creatures, mana ramp into big creatures.

Spell Pierce is probably your best bet for low cost counters. Depending on your metagame, I'd also suggest some of the 2 cost counters targeting creature or non-creature cards depending.

To slow your opponent while you're getting to your Sphinxes, protect them from instant removal, and because you're using Ice Cage I'd think about Spellskite.
