Keeping w/artifacts Keening Stone is invaluable. It's like a good version of traumatize. So yeah with your theme may work.

I really don't know how much you're looking to put into this deck, but I'd add a few Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas in the occasion you need to make some creatures out of those artifacts. He'll also help you cherry-pick through you deck and find which artifacts you need. Archive Trap is almost invaluable as a sideboard, especially against fetch lands. I'd also toss in a few Tome Scour for a quick mill. If you do take the keening stone route, you seem to be OK on the mana end, so it shouldn't cause too many problems down the line. Hedron Crab is good, especially if you drop fetch lands (for landfall twice a turn). This sorta steers you away from infect though. The biggest improvement I recommend is sideboarding a few Doom Blade. As many people that are running artifact creatures, Go for the throat just isn't cutting it in standard anymore.
