Is it just me, or are the new legendary Praetors made for reanimator? Not only do they fulfill the roles of many classic reanimator staples, but they also provide additional debilitating effects to your opponents.

I'd like to see what the Vault community can come up with. Make a reanimator deck that spotlights one or more of the legendary Praetors from New Phyrexia: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Urabrask the Hidden, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger.

I'll work on one in the meantime too, and post in a few days. Cheers!

Jin-Gitaxias is basically the dude that reanimator has been wait years for.

Well, we've got Jin-Gitaxias (Arcanis), Sheoldred (Braids, if the build calls for her, and she reanimates all on her own), and Urabrask (Anger, though I'd argue Anger is still preferable. I've seen decks run a pair of Anger in case of graveyard removal, and Urabrask could replace one of them). While Elesh Norn and Vorinclex don't really replace anything essential, they could fulfill the role of beaters.. though I'd still rather have something with Lifelink.

Not going to lie, I just don't understand reanimator yet. I figured I'd use this comp as encouragement to come up with an original build (or at least non-net decked) & develop a better understanding of the archetype, but am unsatisfied with the results so far. I have to break myself of a few habits, which I feel obligated to work into every black deck I build XD Also I realized I'm used to running more artifacts and enchantments to achieve what reanimator does with creatures. I'll figure it out, just going to have to dig deeper ^-^
