Just a question. If you can't draw cards with the Omen Machine, how do you keep your hand full of things to play with the Evocation? Just seems like they work against each other, and would be pointless to have both in a deck.

Because the card says so, wild evocation says:
"At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player reveals a card at random from his or her hand. If it's a land card, the player puts in onto battlefield. Otherwise, the players casts it without paying its mana cost if able." so you check the card and put it to play without paying its mana cost .

THe omen says:

"Players can't draw cards. At the beginning of each player's draw step, that player exiles the top card of his or her library. If it's land card, the player puts it onto the battlefield. Otherwise, the player casts it without paying its mana cost if able."

So resuming you cast twice per turn if lucky of course you will put in play something very nasty and big eheh, as long as you have something awesome in play you can make it work. i think i am gonna splash blue to counter anything that comes and disrupts the play, but has been fun.

The first card that came to mind when I read Omen Machine's ability was Sensei's Divining Top. Basicly my idea is to control what's on top with the top before the Machine goes off :p

I guess I'll give this a go. I'll just post my deck list here, cause I don't like putting my challenge decks in with my decks on the vault.

Creatures:
Emrakul, the Aeons Torn x1
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre x1
Avenger of Zendikar x2
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite x1
Sheoldred, Whispering One x1
Urabrask the Hidden x1
Birds of Paradise x4

Artifacts:
Omen Machine x4

Enchantments:
Khalni Heart Expedition x4
Wild Evocation x2

Spells:
See Beyond x4
Harrow x4
Cultivate x4

Planeswalkers:
Karn Liberated x2

Lands:
Misty Rainforest x4
Verdant Catacombs x4
Terramorphic Expanse x4
Forest x8
Island x5

Ok, so basically you use Fetch lands and search spells to get rid of as many lands as you can, that way your Machine will more than likely hit a non-land. See Beyond is to shuffle any cards you can't hard cast back into your library, while also digging your library for you Machine. Shoeldred and Karn will take care of big threats your opponent might get out. I only put 2 Evocations in the deck because it's only there to get what few spells you may have in your hand that you can't play. Once your hand is gone it's useless, though. I doubt this deck will actually win anything though. It looks a little slow. You might be able to ramp into an Avenger fast enough to keep you in the game though.

i'm not sure if this deck would work but i just like the idea of an opponent not having a hand.

My bad, misread it. But I don't see much point as Wild Evocation relies on you having a hand and Omen Machine stops that from happening. Whatever, sorry about that ^^|||

I know this is a tad old, but I actually had a pretty good concept deck using omen machine.

You really need to mana ramp to get the omen machine out. Once that happens, you'll need Liliana to keep track of what your top card is or discard out anything that will trigger a negative effect (like 2 planeswalkers.) Jace will be most useful to fateseal to keep your opponent away from things that will hurt you. Using a tutor will pull a card to your hand for use by wild evocation. Venser can be used to flicker the omen machine out so that Jin-Gitaxias can draw you a hand full of cards (depending on how exactly that "at the beginning if the next end step" translates, either way it eliminates their hand). Selective memory can be used to pull out the planeswalkers so you don't accidentally play one you already have out.
