Deck Challenge: Tournament Quality

I've been looking and have found some seriously complicated decks tht are notriously good. So i naturally thought to try to build one. Your challenge first of all is to create a ddeck that would stand a shot in a tournament. Then i would like some comments on my deck:D http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=184945

Herp a la derp, you've read my mind! I've been working on Dredge for the last week myself, I've decided to go a different route though. Kudos if you can guess its colours :p

Derp, it's a :manau:/:manab: fish
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=180010

Derp, it's a :manau:/:manab: reanimator
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=175644

Derp, it's a :manau:/:manab: vintage dragon combo
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=182895

If you can't tell by the excessive 'derp', I'm a bit out of it today...

Eternal Test of Endurance - mono white life gain.

Perhaps pre-mature still for serious tournament play (RnD in progress) but the base is solid with a potential "infinite" life turn 3.

But i doubt that would even work.. I just donthavea large budget...
Also my collection is rather small xD

Yup, working on :manau:/:manab: dredge lol.
I look at it like a combo deck, and Dimir and Grixis are where the best combo structure comes from for me.

Also on the Fish, it doesn't seem like much, but trust me... Fish wins like it's no ones business.

You... FIEND! lol

As for the Dredge, Fatestitcher is really more of a card for Vintage Dredge to me, it's just kind of a meh for me in Legacy.
The Magus of the Bazaar however, I hadn't thought of that... I'll have to try and fit that in, it looks like it could be brilliant.

This is the legacy dredge list I've been using recently, updated a little bit with New Phyrexia (Gitaxian Probe's been pretty good, I'm thinking about upping the count). http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=45626

Ichorid style dredge gives me a headache. You keep moving crap around from zone to zone non-stop. Makes extracting you guys a real pain in the ass. It's one of those "HOLD STILL ALREADY!" kind of things. :D

Funny you'd say that. For the longest time, Extraction's #1 menace was Dredge. It's still a bit of a challenge today, but MUCH more manageable compared to before. :D

Like :manab::manau: dredge deck. Sphinx of lost truths was a nice touch. Man I wish I had bridge from below. It would power up the deck so much more :D

Like the deck. I have never been a fan of infect because my friend plays a nasty blue green infect deck that get putrefax unblockable on turn four. Usually game after that.

My entry: Legacy Grayscale Painter

Should combo off turns 4-5, and meanwhile disrupts (and controls) the hell out of the opponent's game plan to keep them off balance.

I made a Mono-White centered around Elspeth and massing tokens while making indestructible knights so you can overwhelm your opponent after you drop Elspeth's bomb.

Even without her, it can run well with Battle Cry, especially with Hero of the Bladehold.

Tournament standard decks need to be as quick as possible, right? The only deck of mine that is anywhere near fast enough is my R/G Infect, and even then it doesn't win nearly as much as it should....

Not necessarily.
I mean, if you build a deck that should win by, say, turn 2-3, what happens after?
Most builds that center around fast play very rarely have a good endgame, which is to be expected if you want it to win.
I played a guy with a Red-Goblin Burn deck and he claims it should win by turn 2 or 3
Yet my Mono-White creamed him.
I managed to hold him back and delay him until I had one or two Hero of Bladehold's or two Knight Exemplars, and then it was game over.
