Is a Splicer deck viable?

Is something like this possible?
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=184659

Basically what i was thinking of was using Surge Node w/ Conversion Chamber for 3/3 golem for 6 consecutive turns and using Splicer's and Golem Artificer to ramp up the golems.
The only thing is...im not really happy with this deck and the splicers and golems would take a bit of time to get out,
Im also not sure of the 2 green splicers, although the effects would be helpful, would be easier (and cheaper) having mono white

Im thinking of this deck after drafting following deck from New Phyrexia Launch Tournament at FNM shop,

and the Surge Node, Conversion Chamber Combo was very effective there.

maybe look at white/blue... could give you some control until you get your golems out...

I was thinking blue/green would be best cause you can run xenograft choosing golem to regenerate your splicers with the one green splicer for one colorless :D

Plus you could run precursor golem + Ascetisism.

I don't think that they'll be winning any tourneys any time soon, but they're most definitely viable =]

And in something like my shop's "unplugged" tourneys, yeah, it's a pretty effective idea. :D

This isn't exactly what you're looking for since it really doesn't have much early game, but this is kind of the frame i'm using to make my W/U Golem deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=185436

I hate to break it to you, but from every time I've tried a ruling like that, it doesn't work (aka - why you can't get enter the battlefield effects from allies and what not) but you could definitely run venser.

just made that 10 seconds ago, threw it together in around 10 mintues. hope you enjoy? comments, or thoughts?

What do you mean the ruling doesn't work? They don't have to enter the battlefield as golems (even though they do.) It follows the same exact ruling as prismatic omen + valakut. Your lands enter the battlefield as every land type, including mountain thus triggering valakut. Actually, if you have 5 mountains in play and you play a valakut, it triggers off itself.

you might consider working in tempered steel for your golems. a 3 drop and all artifacts you control get +2/+2...i have been toying with the idea

I think they have some potential. I don't think they will be winning Worlds, but I think they could be fun. In yours, I don't like the Myr. There are better options for ramping to the mana you need. Myr are slow, and easy to kill.

Here is one, I might be building for casual play. It's got Wall of Omens and Soul's attendant for early defense, while you start building your army turn 3.
