Black/Green Infect Build?

Ok, here goes. I am basically a very casual Magic player. I enjoy playing with friends, some of which are pretty hardcore and even enter some tournaments and such. This, to be truthful, will be my second deck EVER. My first deck is about six years old. I’m talking Kamigawa old. You get what I saying, right?

Anyway… I’m just looking for some impute on what kind of infect deck I can make with the cards I recently purchased (listed below). I also don’t care if it’s standard or legacy but since infect is standard; I’m guessing most suggestions will come in the form of type-2 cards.

If anyone has any suggestions on what card I should get that are not on the list, then please do tell. There are a few I skipped just because of price. I want Inkmoth Nexus and Skithiryx but they will need to wait. $10-$15 for a card was never my thing. However, they are great cards.

So, go crazy! Make me a great infect deck. It’s not that I’m lazy… Well, maybe a little lazy. I’m just not a Magic expert. I will greatly appreciate the help.

All cards listed below equal the amount of x4. Some are preorders as well.
Here is also a link for a deck that has all the cards below along with links to what they are. If needed that is.

Well, infect is something not easy to run currently I've found, I myself play mainly casual, a little MTG Online, and I personally don't like running infect decks, even though they can be quite fast.

One card I would however suggest that you haven't listed is: Phyrexian Crusader

This card is wonderful for playing against white/red decks.

With those and some other cards I would suggest, here's a quick concept for a deck that you could build on.

Phyrexian Crusader x4
Corpse Cur x4
Mimic Vat x4
Phyrexian Hydra x2
Phyrexian Swarmlord x2
Plague Stinger x4
Glistener Elf x4
Go For The Throat x4
Rot Wolf x4
Harrow x4
Overgrown Battlement x4
Forest x8
Swamp x8
Verdant Catacombs x4

I'm sure someone else could either build on, or give you a better concept for infect as I do not play it often. But hopefully I've been of some help!

this is my updated B/G infect deck once NPH comes out. ive tried infect out at previous FNM's (my local FNM plays standard and they are pretty serious)

i found that infect (pre NPH) has alot of weakness, thankfully NPH filled in most if not all of them.

infect loses alot of its board power after turn 3.

it also need bigger cheaper threats to fill out the finishers

as well as response cards to several archtypes (ie no anti planes walker card that fit the them of the deck) that is until despise.

one other thing is that infect is very bad at trading (ie it loses most fights because of low toughness and higher avg CMC) so it needed more control options.

anyway check out my deck in particular checkout tainted stike+mycosynth

as well as surgical extraction+any removal card (GFTT,DB,BSZ,DES, etc)

Thanks for all the tips. Very helpful. I've also decided to get Invigorate and Livewire Lash. With these two cards combines, I can have one of my enchanted creatures killed and still deal some major poison damage. The pump effect can be done with Vines of Vastwood but Invigorate is good if I don't have the manna to spend for the instant effect.

I just ordered these two cards today.

If you're looking for a good infect deck utilizing livewire, may I humbly suggest my G/U creation:

More testing and card decision choices are in the other posts on my blog :)

I've been working on this particular B/G Infector for about a month and it's shaping up to be one mean son of a gun. If you're looking for fast infect, this may be something to take a look at :)
