Venser's Journal really is terrible, run Temple Bell instead, with the sphinx it gives you instant speed 3 cards.

Your mana base is a also off, you dont need that much red mana for that little red spells.

Also, what do you do it someone squishes your Sphinx? Other than cry?

Seems like the split between Mind Control/Volition Reins and Corrupted Conscience may be off. I mean, if you mind control one guy and Corrupted Conscience another, you are splitting your win conditions. I'll admit, Corrupted Consciencing like an Inferno Titan would be the sickness, but I'm not exactly sure about that. I agree about Temple Bell being awesome but it does seem that Venser's Journal would help shore up your match against a quick red deck a little. Biggest problem I see is that it doesn't seem like you can beat a creature lite dedicated burn deck.
