Decks based around the 5 Shards of Alara, or the 10 Guilds of Ravnica. Or what about making tri-colored decks, with 2 allies and 1 enemy (without using one of the legendary dragons, or easy to exploit creatures like Dorian)

I like Voron's idea for a Wedge deck and may I also suggest a deck that does something without using any of the conventional methods of doing it. eg. land destruction without any cards that say "destroy target land"
I'm busy designing one that turns all lands into creatures then kills them because they're creatures :p and here's my first attempt:

Well, there's always Dirt/Bant toolbox decks, or as you called joe's 'batman'.


It's fun to build, and it's actually decently powerful. I make them for teaching tools usually, but I made an extended deck not to long ago that wasn't half bad.

I named it the resistance because I was listening to the muse song when I made it.

That's like kicking a dude in the nuts, AND stealing his girl =P

As for batman decks, I know from past attempts that they just turn into extraction :D . It's like how every time you'd try to make a black aggro sacrifice it turns into a Braids lock-down.

Wow...Alright I'm seeing a few immediate problems with fish + extraction. First off, the cost is unreal, secondly it's unfocused...and lastly there's just not enough room to do both without either falling apart. =/ This one might be a much longer-term project.

I've already made a few decks based on the "ideal" themes/beliefs of some shards/guilds, but not all of them...so maybe I'll do that.

Proliferate deck using the spirits that come into play with +1/+1 counters and whenever they attack or block don't take damage and only lose 1 counter. Can be pretty humorous :D

oooooooooh.... i love making unique decks.... how about a Seismic assult deck. i've made quite a few versions, you can check them out on the vault (i have the same username) if you want. they're fun decks to play and people usualy dont see it coming. plus, i would love to see your take on one. also, my dream deck is a competative or atleast good land animation deck. i've tried hundreds of decklists for land animation (everything from agro rude awakening to manland control), and i can't get any of them to work well enough. i would also like to see what u could do with that. another deck people dont see every day is Shared Fate. i've made a few of them and though i can't seem to make one 100% full proof, they're really fun to play and when they work the expresion on your opponents face will be something to remember. my last suggestion for u is to try to make a T2 landfall infect based around adventuring gear. should include either blue (for trinkent mage and distortion strike) or white (for stoneforge mystic and protection). probably the best colors would be :manau::manab::manag: or :manag::manab::manaw: .

Dude. Defense of the heart deck, using hunted creatures and that fluffy spirit land from kamigawa block (the one that gives an opponent a spirit for any color of mana) to batman out scary things. BAM! (btw, batman=one of the best terms i've heard lately for mtg)

I would love to see you make a deck with mirror gallery and some other legends, or a falling angels deck with Wild pair :)
