Whitesun's Twilight Duel Decks

So, I'm working on an idea for a set of duel decks. The backstory for them is as follows:

For unknown reasons, the white aligned angels have fallen due to some unknown corruption. Together with the black angels, they have declared war on the heavens. The other angels have banded together to stop these attacks, and now both sides are locked in epic combat.

My plan is to build a deck for each faction.

Any suggestions would be great.

Deck Parameters:

* NO PLANESWALKERS
* Strict color adherance: Deck1: B/W Deck 2: R/G/B
* Minimal Use of Artifacts
* Must use basic lands
* Artifacts are fair game for both decks
* Only Angels and related religious creatures allowed (Monks, priest/priestesses)
* Max limit of three legendary creatures per deck
* Deck must be between 60 and 75 cards

One final note: these decks are about epic battle, not subtlety and deception. I would like the focus to be on creatures with minimal enchantments and counters. Feel free, however, to play with creature abilities here.

I'm really looking for all suggestions, so if there are any ideas/concept adjustments that you would like to share, by all means, please let me know.

Good Luck.

Only none White or black angel is Akroma Angel of Fury. Oh and Platinum Angel. So try less color limit. Or let White still be cool.

How does this look for B/W?

In your description it sounded like b/w vs w. RGB doesnt seem to fit this scenario atal. Maybe their are specific angels, or group of angels that have fallen which are restricted to only deck 1, but deck 2 has the rest of the angels to work with. I can see deck 2's main card being baneslayer angel. For deck 1 maybe moreso demons?

@StrategicMuffinExhausted: I like it! Thank you!

@linkzlegacy: Your idea is intriguing. I'd like to see what that would look like! Demons might be a better fit here, and I like having Baneslayer Angel in Deck 2!

I'm going to have to agree with some of the above comments--having the R/G/U side completely lacking white makes it near impossible to make an angel deck. A possibility: What if you did a Celestial vs. Elemental type deck? Heaven and Hell have declared war on the planes (for whatever reason): B/W Angels and Demons vs. R/G/U Elementals. Both of those could be so creature-heavy that they would end up fitting the rest of your criteria easily. Lemme know what you think.

I would totally agree with the Angels vs. Demons thing, since Demons are fallen angels, as an added Idea it could be like a recreation of the first battle when Lucifer fell along with a third of the host of angels, only this way it could possibly have a different outcome ;). note: I went with the idea that Vampires are Demons with short tails due to the severe lack of Demon cards. These decks won't be very competitive in tournament play but i think would be very fun to play against each other in casual play.

P.S. I went with them being Standard Type 2

I've edited my deck slightly. There's more mana and a demon now. Does anyone know if upkeep abilities all trigger simultaneously? If not:

1) Xathrid Demon sacrifices Angel of Despair.
2) Reya/Debtor's Kell brings it straight back.

5 damage, destroys a permanent and can be looped indefinitely. :cool:

@Gabriel: Angel vs. Demon has already been done--the third duel deck to be released was Divine vs. Demonic: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/33
