MTG Vault Deck Challenges
The Plagues of MTG
I was thinking about the disaster stories in the bible and thought of the best one: the plagues of Egypt. I said to myself, "That would be a a good set of decks." so my challenge is to make 10 decks based on the plagues. The plagues in order are:
Blood. God instructed Moses to raise his staff over the river Nile; all of its water turned into blood. As a result of the blood, the fish of the Nile died, filling Egypt with an awful stench. Other water resources used by the Egyptians were turned to blood as well. I'm not sure what would be good here, most likely red decks of some kind.
Frogs. God commanded Moses to stretch the staff over the water, and hordes of frogs came and overran Egypt. Obviously a horde deck but please be creative not just the infinite squirrel deck.
Gnats. God instructed Moses to take the staff and strike at the dust, which turned into a mass of gnats that the Egyptians could not get rid of. horde or -1/-1 etc.
Dangerous wild animals. a creative stompy deck, maybe wurms.
Disease. which exterminated the Egyptian livestock; that is, horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep and goats. anti-creature deck
Shkhin. Shkhin was a kind of skin disease, usually translated as "boils". God commanded Moses to take two handfuls of soot from a furnace, which Moses scattered skyward in Pharaoh's presence. The soot induced festering Shkhin eruptions on Egyptian men and livestock. some sort of black-blue removal deck.
A powerful shower of hail intermixed with fire. The storm heavily damaged Egyptian orchards and crops, as well as people and livestock. Burn with ice, blue red preferably.
Locusts. God then had Moses stretch his staff over Egypt, and a wind picked up from the east. The wind continued until the following day, when it brought a locust swarm. The swarm covered the sky, casting a shadow over Egypt. It consumed all the remaining Egyptian crops, leaving no tree or plant standing. Artifact horde memnite and ornithopter etc. powered up by other things.
Darkness. This darkness was so heavy that an Egyptian could physically feel it. Tapping deck or something that does the description above. this is the most difficult to make in my opinion.
an last: Death of all of the first born children in Egypt — no one escaped. EXTRACTION!!! this is my favorite one and for bonus points make it an affordable extraction deck (affordable=under 100$) use any site but under 100 dollars please.
Sorry for the long challenge, have fun and be creative.

Two of these caught my attention the most.
Wurms just can't be made to have Stompy efficiency. Trust me, I've tried :( . There's a few, but not nearly enough and not over a reliable enough mana-range to work
Extraction under $100.00?!
My God...You've gone mad!

I know kinda crazy with your deck's 400 dollar price tag. But, there are extraction decks that are closer to discard that are fairly cheap.

LOL Epic deck removal costs $56.36 (with the most expensive card being a land - Sunken Ruins at $7.99 each) That's including the cost of basic lands (Islands and Swamps in this case) :p
I got prices from Star City Games
I hereby challenge surewhynot to make a cheaper one :p

I forgot about Never Ending Torment...That and Hand Extract (a.k.a. discard with extraction) are the two exceptions.

So I was thinking this deck challenge would be cool, here is my submission let me know if I can improve it.
[Deck Challenge] Plagues
My goal with this deck was to get Mycosynth Lattice out and ramp with Cloudpost & Glimmerpost and be able to play any color mana I need with the Cloudposts. The main strategy for the deck is to get the Broodhatch Nantuko enchanted with Phyresis and equipped with Darksteel Plate once you have that swing away with him constantly. He gets blocked? Cool you get Insect tokens to sacrifice to Mortician Beetle or Nantuko Husk, he doesn't get blocked? Cool they get a poison counter.
Alternatively you could side board in Pariah and equip that to the Broodhatch Nantuko with Darksteel Plate and get tokens that way. Ultimately the idea is to get really huge insects with infect on them.

I decided to go for the most terrifying of all: THE FROGS.
Unbeknownst to biblical scholars, the Egyptians were only attacked by a relatively small number of frogs, who proceeded to frogify and subsequently enslave the local population.

Omnibian, Amoeboid Changeling, and Imagecrafter turn your opponent's creatures into frogs, helped along by Pemmin's Aura. This allows you to bypass Callous Oppressor's restriction and, more importantly, command an army of frogs via Peer Pressure. The deck is rounded out with 8 more frog creatures and an appropriately titled counterspell for such a ridiculous deck: Confound.

Took a break from deckbuilding and just returned - thank you!
I realized the whole deck cost ~$10 and put it together (would be more with a decent mana base). It's lots of fun to play in a low-power casual format, and of course it's always hilarious when a new opponent finds out what the deck does.
