Norin the Wary EDH deck.

Is it possible?
I'd like to find out- post your best ideas for one of the arguably most useless cards in the game in an EDH format. It's hardcore weird deck challenge if you think you are willing to even give it a shot.

I'm still attempting to get an idea for what cards to even put in an EDH deck for him.

I've been tempted to try this before. Thank you for letting me embrace my inner insanity!

I put in as many red cards as I could find with "when a creature comes into play" effects, and branched out from there. Door of Destinies gave me the idea of making it a warrior deck.

Erratic Portal, Safe Haven, and Oni of Wild Places protect Norin from activated abilities, because NORIN DOES NOT DIE. They also let us abuse come into play effects more. Dolmen Gate, Bubble Matrix, Sword of the Meek provide more hilariously appropriate and useless Norin protection.

The rest is just warrior creatures and miscellaneous red spellery, with fun interactions where I could find any. (e.g. Impelled Giant, Raid Bombardment).

If you actually manage to get Door of Destinies and Where Ancients Tread out, Norin gets to do quite a bit of damage on each player's end step. But most of the time this deck will just be a total mess. Yay EDH!

Pretty stoked about this, actually:

Basically just tried to capture the essence of red here, showing that Norin certainly has something to be wary about. It has a lot of Goblins, which can get big themselves, or just serve as a buffer zone until the bigger monsters come down from the mountains, particularly giants and even a few dragons. The classic red burns, as well as a few other nuggets. Enjoy!

Thanks for the good ideas already! I thought about come into play effects as well, it makes a little sense with Norin.

Here's Prizrak deck again, he put the edit link in instead, but no worries lazy people:

Heh, thanks. :P

I edited in the correct URL, and also replaced Quest for the Goblin Lord... not sure how that got in there.
