MTG Vault Deck Challenges
The "What the **** just happened" challenge
The idea for this challenge is simple (or is it?):
Make a deck where the win condition leaves the opponent wandering what just happened.
I got the idea for this after reading WhiteAndBlueTheyKillYou's deck Valakut Bant
Rules:
1) Have fun
2) The deck must win with the WTF? condition.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=118474

The Fling a Wall deck is a nice idea, but I'm not sure affinity for artifacts works with x casting costs.
The Shamans Trance looks like a fun idea.
I can't comment about the Just awful deck and probably won't because I'm too lazy to look at each card in the deck (I don't know the Fallen Empires cards)
The Relenting Rats deck is my favourite out of this list and like I said on the deck, it's the most original use for the rats that I've seen. :p

Not bad. It'll definitly be a "WTF just happened?" if you manage to pull it off, but that's where the problem lies - IF you draw the rite cards.

it does.
for any X cost...you set the value of X when you cast the spell. then you pay for it, if effects reduce the cost for you then you pay less but the value of X is still what was determined upfront.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=118468 <--- There's my use of Trance. It's not a very good deck, per se, but I have gotten the thing to go off...Basically it wins out of nowhere by ripping a hole in the space-time continuum.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=112989 <--- My Black Sacrifice deck...1 damage turns into 26 and you have no blockers anymore...good times.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=113097 <--- Another really strange experimental/backwards deck. Funny when it works.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=113463 <--- Choke. Many times my opponent will be happy to be given all the card advantage, or they aren't too worried about the one Underworld Dreams. That is, until Puzzle Box and/or Chains of Mephistopheles says "Sup".
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=119841 <--- My cow deck. Out of nowhere an ass-load of angry cows pour out of my deck and attack.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=122853 <--- Pandemonium + Wild Pair + Ball Lightning/Groundbreaker = WTF
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=129028 <--- Infinite...Everything? Yeah, WTF.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=133439 <--- My Tempo Extraction deck. Temporal Mirror for infinite turns (or you die) allows me to turn your deck into mush.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=139791 <--- Kokusho Nuke. Need I say more?

Ooh, I know that deck you're talking about Ded! lol
I felt honor-bound to make something for this, so I made an Ooze deck... I just whipped it together, so it's not looking the best yet, but it'll be worked on next week.
:manau:/:manab: Ooze, so kind of like Shredder in the second ninja turtle movie.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=152699
EDIT: Working on it for consistency, I wasn't pleased with it.

you can either use Prismatic Omen plus either Maelstrom Archangel, Transguild Courier, or Scuttlemutt then just cast Coalition Victory. Or use Door to Nothingness. Or just erase them with the legacy weapon.

I think my deck that fits most into this concept is here:
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=90235
First off, I'm pinging my own guys for damage; all of a sudden, I'm fireballing you for 200 damage or you're losing 200 life from Vent Sentinel.
Also throwing this in here:
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=103549
Not a total wtf, but dropping 200 elves on turn 5, then giving them all +200/+200 can come outta left field.
Last, the deck that made me WTF?! when I first started playing:

"Oh, he's getting a lot of mana! What's coming out? An Emrakul, a big Fireball?"
Nope, I'm gonna Gen Wave you and hit for infinite damage. Here's my champion deck.
Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=138244
This is a concept deck I made after playing a Zombie deck with the same general idea. Mill yourself with your own allies then pop 'em all out of the Graveyard. YAY!
Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=117772
That's it so far for me. I hope you guyys like them.

Here's a deck concept I thought of last night and just posted. Turn 5 = Infinite mana, play Grimmy thief and Freed, then infinite :symtap: and:manan:

All right, I threw this together very quickly, so it's more for the idea than for actual playability. But it's hilarious. ;)
http://www.mtgvault.com/EditDeck.aspx?DeckID=153298&DeckCardID=3329623
First off, this only works in casual, because you need a 210 card sideboard.
Now, the maximum number of WTFs possible in Magic:
"During your end step, I'll use Arcum Dagsson to turn my Shimmer Myr into a Vedalken Orrery."
"WTF?"
"Now I'll cast High Tide and repeatedly cast Palinchron for infinite mana."
"WTF."
"Now i'll play Stroke of Genius to draw my entire deck."
"WTF."
"I'll play a Spawnsire of Ulamog and activate its final ability"
"WTF!"
"And bring in 70 each of Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek. All of them go to the graveyard and get shuffled into my library."
"WTF?"
"Now I'll play Battle of Wits. Your turn ends, my upkeep begins, and I win the game. :D"
"WTF?!?!!??!"
As an added bonus, the only mana acceleration this deck runs is one of the weirdest of them all - Dreamscape Artist, the blue Harrow-on-a-stick. In the meantime Halimar Depths, Ponder, and Mystical Tutor desperately try to assemble the pieces of your ridiculous combo. :P
(Of course, all you really need is High Tide, Palinchron, Stroke of Genius, and 5 islands - the rest is just even more fun.)

Win by summoning a Megazord!
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=153579
the deck is a theme deck, and doesn't exactly combo, but it DOES aggro-race the hell out of lots of decks.
if the other guy doesn't 'get it' then its not WTF win, its just artifacts being assholes again- Moxen, Artifact Lands, Myr- the usual suspects.
but try and beat them with this awesome play:
Activate the Myr Turbine (Command Center), by tapping the 5 Mana Myr (Zords), and searching out Myr Battlesphere! you just made a Megazord!
I already know: this deck is major weak to 'competitive' decks- I built it for fun, and just because it runs Moxen doesnt make it 'the greatest deck ever'-
but I thought the strategy was wierd enough to try posting here.

Here's another concept deck:
http://www.mtgvault.com/EditDeck.aspx?DeckID=153618
Play cheap artifacts (and get more of them with Myrsmith and Origin Spellbomb). Once you get your Mirror Entity out, you could pump them all and attack...
...or you could use its ability to make them all 0/0 changelings, triggering effects that give you creatures, make them sac creatures, or deal damage to your opponent.

As cool as all of the decks you posted for this challenge are, I'll only comment on 3.
The Puzzle Box + Underworld Dreams combo makes me want to make one, if only I could get some Puzzle Boxes :(
Those 'cows' are just funny.
Kokusho Nuke. No response needed. :p

As "WTf?" a Coalition Victory deck is, you can only really use it once. People who know what the deck is will side in stuff just to deal with it.

I haven't been able to try it, too many rats are needed.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=157128
The idea is to mill the entirety of your opponent's deck, after they gear up and get ready to deal with a swarm, you exile about 1/2 your deck to attempt to bring up Keening stone and traumatize in very short order.
