Deck Challenge: Extraction
Hello again fellow deck builders! Today's deck challenge might be a harder one for some of you, familiar(ish) ground for others, and out of the comfort zone for others of you still.
The challenge is for you to design an Extraction deck. You can make it however you choose, the format doesn't ever really matter to me =P
Only thing is I would advise against trying this in standard...It's really impractical and difficult to do.
Have fun!

Indeed you do. There will obviously be some trends though, but that's sort of true for any deck type y'know?

Not really. Haunting Echoes is an extraction card, but the rest of that is just mill.
Extraction is like my deck "Pure Evil".
The win condition of an extraction deck is to completely disable the opponent's own deck. You pull out or "extract" win conditions or simply the cards they would need at any given point, making it impossible for them to even play the game.
Another pretty recent extraction card is Sadistic Sacrament. Hope this helps clear things up. :D

As promissed, here's my original idea:
Rogue Extraction
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=124575
It uses small rogues to deal damage to prowl in Earwig Squad. I also use a combo of Thoughtpicker Witch and Revive the Fallen to keep getting Earwig back in hand to re-prowl it :p

Hey surewhynot,
Always loved all the strong solid decks you've made. I never really checked out the competition forum until today. And I'm sort of suprised how many of my decks I've made that sort of fit various competitions without my setting out to do so. Anyway, I recently made a deck that seems to fit the description of your contest hope you like it.

Well i put the timer on 20 minutes, to see what i could do with extraction in that time, for the format Modern. So i came up with Mill-Straction. As the name would imply, the idea is to mill your opponent, then extract the threats out of them. Rinse and Repeat.

I've actually been working on one of these for quite a while. Here is what I've done so far. Works pretty well. I can cripple a deck with it, and then just focus on milling them for the win condition. There is also a secondary overrun win condition built into the defenses.
