Relentless Rats Removal

I just had a weird idea that mite just work. This is a way to get to a combo alot quicker in a black deck.

Step 1 - decide on a "killer" combo.
Step 2 - add 4 Memoricide and fill the rest of the deck with Relentless Rats (don't forget to add lands)
Step 3 - Play Memoricide targeting yourself and naming Relentless Rats.
Step 4 - Use your "killer" combo.

Can anyone willing to use this "combo" please post a link to the deck here.

4 Helm of Obedience
4 leyline of the void
24 relentless rats

12 swamps
8 islands

Total 60 cards
Infinite mill combo

Huh.. that would be an interesting idea. I like it :) This would also work with Selective Memory and Mana Severance.

Off the top of my head, I think I'd rather use a combination of Selective Memory and Mana Severance, excessive land fetch, and a 2 specific enchantments to cheat some absurdly strong creatures into play. Something like this:

I'm sorry it's not what you're asking for, but that was the idea you gave me.. and I couldn't think to make it work with Memoricide and Relentless Rats :3

Its helm of obedience+ leyline of the void. A card never hits the graveyard so it RFG's you opponents entire library

another way to achieve a similar effect would be to use about a 40 land deck and treasure hunt. Treasure hunt will to your cards and leave you plenty of lands to play them with. Its also only two mana as opposed to 4 and it doesnt make you discard cards in you hand like memoricide would do with the relentless rats..

Ah, I get it now. That is clever indeed. I had assumed that, regardless of the Leyline being in play, Helm of Obedience could still only remove X cards from the library from the game.. but even if X = 1, not a single card will hit the graveyard, and Helm continues to remove cards from the library until it's condition is met.. which is never :P

I came across a card earlier while messing around with a deck concept, and had to come back to this challenge. Like my previous deck, it does not function in the manner requested.. rather it functions just the opposite. Instead of removing the Rats to facilitate another combo play, the deck removes non-Rat cards in order to cast every single Rat in the deck for free.

I understand that there's better ways of doing this, I just thought this would be a nice (different) use of all the Relentless Rats I already have.
