Deck Challenge: Simic Proliferation
Find the best combination of Simic cards, and splice them together with some proliferate. Feel free to have any win con, but just be sure to include lots of +1/+1 counters :D
Please keep it :manag:/:manau: though... Anything else is just lame

Already working on a deck like this :D I just need 4x Doubling Seasons, and of course the cards from SoM.

I used to run a Simic / Arcbound deck a year or three ago. It used the Simic to grant abilities to my Arcbound, and used the Arcbound + various sacrifice abilities to move counters around to unblocked creatures. Proliferate adds more dimension to this, by including a few cards to distribute -1/-1 counters, as well as additional sacrifice abilities (very important since I traded off my third Ravager a while back >.>). With Doubling Season added to the mix... good god!

Again, another really nice, and seemingly fun deck to play, thanks denmar! Now to just find out which one is better :p

I have a Proliferating Ally deck you might want to take a gander at.

didn't put much thought into the sideboard, but with venser you can constantly bring an ally into the field further upping those lovely counters

The deck challenge was to design a deck utilizing Simic creatures from the Ravnica block, who are known for their Graft ability, such as Simic Initiate
However, since you posted a non-Simic deck, I will too ;)

I think the OP will enjoy it. Pretty much, I removed all of the Simic cards from my original deck, and modified it to revolve around Arcbound and other artifact creatures, including multiple methods to achieve infinite Proliferate combos.. but without requiring an infinite combo to win the game. Hope you enjoy :)

Okai well then, I tried to give that a shot and I came up with this
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=100779
A deck I already was using but modified to fit in the engines, clasps and progresses. I kept the lands basic because of speed and non basic land removal....very very frustrating, especially with simic for snakeforms etc :P This usage of proliferate is a bit over the top, can easily pull it off with 4 engines and 3 progress, but I felt like adding a bit more, to annoy opponent :P 2 mana -1/-1 is nice, especially if you can proliferate on turn 4+ :D Hopefully contagion engine on turn 6 and things will really speed up from there :D
Enjoy!
