MTG: Deck Help and Suggestions, No spend limit

I have recentally been thought the game of magic from my uncle and my dad a few weeks ago, and have been using a starter/pre made deck every since and I think its time I start to make a deck of my own .:)

First, I was thinking a 2 color deck of a blue and red
or
A 3 color deck with blue, red and white:confused:

Which do you think is better?
And card suggestions, because I'm very over wheelemed of looking of all the cards and need a good staregy idea to get me started.

I also have alot of the orignal cards from my dad, he has boxes of them with cards such as black lotus, Moxs, Lighting bolts, serra angels.. So suggest some good red/blue/white cards from the orignals aswell :D I don't really have a spending limit but just want a pretty good deck idea first before I start spending money.

How do you want to win? A common mistake is to think about your first deck in terms of color; what really matters is how it plans to win the game.

Also, you need to know what format you're building in. Lotus and Moxes are only legal in Vintage; most other cards are legal in Legacy, and only relatively recent cards are allowed in Standard and Extended.

a friend and i are actually just talking about this on one of my decks ive posted on youtube, which is also an interesting one, heres the link if you wanna read our discussion word for word http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12mAYS6eR7U
the videos of an 8 infinite combos all go off at once and the deck used up all its cards except like 8 of course
its just really funny to watch such a reaction
but anyway we started the conversation with "i was thinking what would be the best possible deck you could build in magic if you had no monetary limits"
one combo would be:
t1: lotus + mox
= erayo + winter orb
t2: mox + 2 ancestral recall
play any mox / lotusses you draw
and play any spell you want
flip erayo
opponent cant really do anything
the rest of the game
well they can but theyd have to wait 2 turns to untap 2 lands to be able to play 2 1 cost spells which one will be countered
not worth it at all
you win

Personally, I think the best way to win is with a Aggro / Combos (increase your creatures P/T, Timing cards, affects etc) deck.. because I think you should try to beat your oppenent as quickly as possible while using combos with your creatures and on the field to improve your chances of winning..
And for the format, either Extended or Legacy.

Okay I'm going to look into the deck your talking about in comments just to see how it would be. Just to have a variety.
Thanks.

Wow, I watched the video and that was a very cool combo. It seems if you use that in a game you would leave your oppenent speechless haha.

Awesome idea. :)

i find it is easyer to find what you whant your deck to do from control to mill you need to find out this ferst or you could find a card you relly like suck as wraith of god.
find this out first then try to stick to the lest ammount of colors that you can (try to first find cards that have the disired effect that you whant in your own color).
this is my edvice to billding your first deck,
