Draw simulator
Hello
Some of our eagle eyed users may have noticed a draw simulator link on the view deck pages.
It gives you the first seven cards, then the next 35 (obviously if you deck has that many) cards listed below. All cards have a javascript hover over, so you can see them in a decent size! If not, each card will click thru to it's appropriate viewcard page. Then you can simply draw a new hand using the link in the top right, this will shuffle your deck and draw all cards in a new random order :-)
Few tweaks that still need to be done:
* Thumbnails to be made, to make page load quicker.
* Mulligan system to be implemented.
* Button to be made for draw next hand
Feedback, as usual, is welcome. hope you find this new page useful!
Cheers
Ian

Nice. this really adds the "see-for-your-self" factor that many of us deck builders have been waiting for

So glad this is done!!! Thank you.
Found a glitch, however.
Once you view your first sample hand, if you hit "Draw new hand," it will take you to the homepage. Could just be me, but it's done it every time I've tried.
Edit: If you just hit f5 (refresh), it will give you a new hand.

Where is the link? I'm trying to find it, because it seems like a great idea, but can't. I'm sure it's right under my nose, but lead me to it, please.

On the view deck page, its next to "main hand".
As for the Javascript hover over - we may implement this, it's easy enough to do, just need to have a discussion with Gary as there are other factors to consider.
Cheers

I found it before I saw you replied, but thanks for the fast response. Another question is, when it shows the rest of the deck, which side is the next card from? Left or right? I guess it doesn't matter, really, since it's not a game simulator, but I was wondering.
Speaking of a game simulator, that would be nice. I won't bother creating a new thread just for that suggestion, but I hope it happens.

It's actually from the left first, but yea, as you pointed out, it doesn't really matter, so we didn't worry about it too much :-)

could you change the hover over so that it keeps the card above the bottom of the screen? when I hover over the next card to appear the most of the text box falls below the bottom of my browser and I can't read it.
also, would it be possible to change the sample draw to something more noticeable? I wound up just doing Ctrl+F to find it, but a new user wouldn't even know to look for it. possible suggestions off the top of my head:
1)change it into a button look that stands out more
2)put it in the left menu bar with the various other options either in Main Menu, My Account or some new section like Deck Building Tools (though you'd need to move card search here as well then and it wouldn't make much sense if you were using the option to check out someone else's deck).

We will eventually do a bit of a re-jig on the view deck pages, so it's current position is temporary. Cheers for the suggestions though!
Are you hiding the ads on the side? If I scroll the page down slightly, I easily have enough space to see all the text - any deck with a massive description you'll need to scroll down on anyway. I could move the cards so they display upwards, but that may look a little odd, i'll play around with it later. Also, what browser are you using?
Cheers

using Firefox.
disabling AdBlock fixed it, though I'm not sure why since I'm still not seeing any ads. I'll withdraw my suggestion though, no need for you to accommodate people with active ad blockers. but it might be nice to have a small warning up somewhere letting people know about the potential problem.
