Yea, it's a far more souped up version of immobilizing ink for my entire field instead of just for Arcanis.

That's why I make sure I have some interactions, although I recently added Paradox Engine and it's broken the deck harder than dropping a wrecking ball on a toothpick.

I'm actually quite nice with this deck if I'm not in a competitive setting.

Lab Maniac; Swinging with eldrazi; Infinite mana generation with Teferi, Everflowing, contagion engine, chain veil, blue sun zenith; Psychosis crawler to abuse my draws; Sucking the life out of my opponents as I start playing solitaire in a 4 man game; The works.

I usually try to avoid going infinite to let others at least have some fun.

I was lucky enough to play during Scars of mirrodin, I had sword of Body and Mind and War and peace, and had the fortune to get a sword of feast and famine for a spare stoneforge I had. Although the Sword of Fire and Ice was a tough trade to get done. Bugged a friend of mine for over a year to get it. Although, I put far more effort and energy into my Arcanis Deck, and it honestly shows.

Peel from reality can allow me to bounce one of my creatures as well as one of the opponents, allowing me to reuse enter the battlefield abilities. However, echoing truth doesn't have much place in the deck when compared to cyclonic rift.

Idk either. I just want to clarify I do not mean to bash on this deck, I love the theme of it and contagion engine is an amazing card in this deck. One of my favorite artifact cards. All I was doing was alerting you to what I thought was something against the rules. But in the end, it you and your play group(or wherever you play for that matter) are fine with this, then the ruling doesn't matter all that much(unless you play in a tournament, then it kind of matters). Either way, I hope you have a great day.

Ruling link? Cause I looked over the official rules and can't find that.

All I can find is this:

5. A Commander deck must contain exactly 100 cards, including the Commander.

6. With the exception of basic lands, no two cards in the deck may have the same english name.

I don't think you can have your general as part of the 99 cards. It's 99 card + your general.

If I made a deck out of him, personally i'd probably go with an extort deck, with lots of creature drops that I could make many of in one turn, especially with a heartless summoning out. That way his mana ramp allows you to play many spells in one go, then pay for the extort on most of them. Plus multiple instances of extort would stack(correct me if I'm wrong) so the extra mana would help pay for multiple extort costs. Eventually, if you have enough extort out on the battle field, just casting one spell could trigger 6 or more instances of extort.
The biggest problem I see with this is that unless you have a creature/enchantment that gives your creatures toughness, you would start killing your own creatures as they enter the battlefield, before you could enchant them or equip them. Mikaeus, the unhallowed could slightly work, but you could only have 1 out. If this deck isn't going to be standard, You could use the ghast's mana ramp to get out some quick caged sun's, maybe even eldrazi monument if you think you could pump out enough creatures. Hope this helps a bit

Funniest thing is that I actually had those cards and didn't even know it, looking through my cards today found them and thought "hey, these might work well in this deck"

Actually zendikar doesn't rotate out until the next block innistrad (I hope I spelled that right) which is in the fall. Plus those 6 cards shouldn't cost more than $10.

It looks good so far, the only card i can think of adding right now would be Geth's verdict.

I would recommend journey to nowhere over Forced worship. While Forced worship is good, Journey gets the creature off the field so none of it's effects are useful which is great along side Arrest. Arrest the creatures with activated abilities, and Journey those with triggered and static abilities or are just problem creatures you just don't want to see.

It's too bad you don't want to include zendikar cards... they have some amazing sacrifice effects. Comsuming vapors is almost a must in a sacrifice deck. Mortician Beetle and gatekeeper of Malakir are also good cards. If you do consider Zendikar cards i would
-2 blind zealot
-4 viscera seer
+2 Consuming Vapors
+4 Mortician Beetle
Also, look into blade of the bloodchief for when you start sacrificing with bloodthrone vampire.

Just a quick question... how does Paradox Haze buff steppe lynx massively? from what i can tell Endless Horizons just puts the lands into your hands... not on the battlefield, and all Paradox Haze does is give you an additional upkeep, not a chance to put an additional land onto the battlefield. Or is there something I am missing?

Just so you know... there are 8 copies of Buried Alive in this deck. Also I would recommend entomb to aid getting cards into the graveyard quickly.
