I can see where you are coming from. For me i am currently running Chapin's B/W list where there is champion , doomed, hero, and blade splicer. And increasing devotion is played instead of elspeth due to the fact it powers up champion in late game , whereas elspeth doesn't.

As for evolving wilds, it is there when you just can't hit your black for lingering souls/sorin when you are unlucky. I definitely aint running 4 wilds as you have said, it puts you back a turn and this deck wants to cast most of the things as early as possible.

I'm still testing out and so far it seems good. The only problem is people will start to sideboard rachet bombs which kills this deck easily in the early part of the game.
And mainboard Thalia(mainly humans) also disrupt our plans easily.

and the fact that you can suggest Moorland haunt... wow facepalm. 8 creatures just wouldn't make a moorland haunt worth playing in the deck, where the mana base is terrible as hell , splashing blue will just make the early game even worse.

Great deck, but i feel champion of the parish with gather the townsfolk is just sick as shit because it curves out so well. I suggest putting 2-3 evolving wilds for the lands because the mana base is just terrible for W/B in standard. Thins out the deck as well.

And teks09 suggestion is just... terrible as hell. Taking out honor will just make the deck so subpar. Master's calls wasnt played in standard was due to a fact .... IT HAS NO EVASION.
And any good player WILL play around a boardsweeper, be it Day of judgement or black sun zenith.

All in all great deck, i believe it is a tier 1.5 deck. Lingering souls...... too sick of a card.

Yes both are good for limited/draft games but when it comes to constructed, it is a different story.

Undead Alchemist is too slow and gets killed very easily, Worst of all it changes damage to milling which is not i want for this deck. As for the high priest, it needs morbid AND 2 creatures to tap for a creature. Therefore both wouldn't fit into my deck.

As for go for the throat, it is meant to be sideboarded (which i havn't made up). Doom blade main is good because it kills artifacts(Tempered Steel) and not many deck runs black creatures.

For this deck, getting a good hand at the start is very important, especially at game one where you need to really win. I mull till 5 to get a good starting hand.

Then came to game 2/3 is where you tone down your aggro style for a more control style with your sideboard like turn aside and nature's claim to kill the spellskite.

I'm still trying to refine this deck. I might switch vapor snag for either mana leak or spell pierce depending on how it goes. This deck does well against Caw-blade/darkblade or any control style, and 50/50 to aggro decks like mono red/ boros/ br vampires.

Hmm, i think glistening oil is a great form of 1/1 removal. I would take out 2 Morbid Plunder for either 2 Tezz Gambit or 2 Corpse Cur.
I'm thinking of putting in Ichor Wellspring as it can be used with Throne of Geth to draw 2 cards which is pretty nice, and i'll run 4 ichor rats for the free poison.

I believe Either you take out Mirran Mettle or Giant Growth in favor of Vines of Vastwood. It is the best pump spell, as it allows you to protect your creatures from being destroyed especially when the win condition lies with your creatures. Also do sideboard nature's claim to deal with splinter twin/ Caw-blade.

Consider Livewire Lash for your lens too and plague myr for your blight mamba.

Hey, really great deck, but have you considered putting in a heavy arbalest as another win condition besides Tempered Steel and battlesphere ? It could do an infinite combo with the correct conditions.

Also i would suggest adding 2 myr turbines. Lets say if you could get 5 or more myrs by turn 5 with loyal legions, you could get a battlesphere onto the battlefield instantly :).

Do check out my UG infect deck too, thanks :)

I would out Harrow as you already have birds as a form of mana ramp, replace gigantiform with boar umbra as it is easily destroyed by into the roil for a 8 mana spell. Taking out Blight Mamba for necropede will also be nice to deal with any irritating toughness 1 creature like Hawks. Get 4 Inkmoth nexus too, they are a must have for infect deck.

Add in nature's claim as well for dealing with artifacts like Swords.
My 2 cents

Haha, i was also thinking of putting in the swarmlord. I find it good as a decisive end card if the opponent allows it to resolve. Since in a upkeep, most likely 6-9 insects will spawn @_@.
Another good thing is, most Caw-blade doesnt run Day of Judgement anymore so, yes it could be a very good card to include. But should we put 1 or 2 as we have no means of finding it, so top-decking here becomings quite important.

I agree with you that the current meta decks like UB control/ mono red and vamps will destroy my deck espcially at game 2/3 if they sideboard well like arc trail/dismember. Even an inquisition will leave my field/hand in a big disadvantage.
Any suggestions on what creatures to put in ? I'm considering sbing noxious or just completely taking it out. I'm leaning on Viridian corrupter since it is really relevant against CAW blade and most decks with stoneforge. And thanks for the feedback :)

Any reason why? The necropedes are awesome with dealing with hawks and if i do not get the chance to finish the opponent off in 3-4 turns, the tumble magnet gives me chance to "regroup" until i draw a solution.

For the SB, i would take out naturalize for nature's claim and putrefax for spellskite. But other than that awesome deck.

Please do comment on my UG deck too thanks.

Please do comment on my UG infect too thanks :)

Since you are playing green, i'm wondering if Elvish Piper is a good way to put down Jin-gitaxias. Just a suggestion :)

I was considering adding Plague myr as an alternative mana ramp as well, or maybe corpse cur but i'll test it out :).

Hi, great deck you thought out. But i'm wondering since your main win condition revovles around shape anew --> blightsteel. Wouldnt drawing a blightsteel kinda kill the combo ?
I think having a jace or 2 in the deck will help since you can brainstorm and put the blightsteel back into the deck. Just my 2cents.

Hey, really nice deck especially putting in Stabbing Pain to tap creatures. But i think you should include some mass removal in your sideboard like Black Sun's Zenith to counter decks like Kudoltha Red.

Do comment on my infect deck too, thanks ^_^.

Yea i too am looking for Vines though. Birds help ramp for a faster Crusader( Turn 2) or Skithiryx, it does pretty well. Glistener Elf looks good, so i might add in it.

As for Beastmaster, it doesnt really synergize with my deck since it is more of a aggro deck trying to end the game asap.
Thanks for the feedback :).
