hahaha yezzzz love rat decks they can be so cheap. an alternate way to get the rats back from the dead is to use patriachs bidding or even worse living death>.> ( hate that card against me) anyways i might have to give this one a try. i like this alot. =]

it looks pretty solid imo. only slap in the face i can think of is pyroclasm or volcanic fallout. both very nice board wipes. maybe an overrun or two would help a lil and if possiable something like a dragon or maybe just a furnace whelp to deal with those angels.

lolz not a bad idea, many ppl have had it. the only things u will have problems with is the land base and speed. just about any deck can beat a mono red dragon deck cause it lacks speed and protection to play the beasts. i would suggest either more mountain or some searching lands, and creature hate cards. u cant play the big boys if ur dead. nice build though.

aight makes sense. hmm might have to do some trials with this concept. like i said no one here runs anything like it, my brother comes close but he likes to just pile in big creatures worries bout gettin em out later. lol. well wumpus, sure thanks for the lesson:P

hmm ok basicaly the idea is u want to play a good creature whos own power/toughness is greater than its cost. is there any particular range that makes the pay off the best? for instance if u add the */* and its mana cost is about half of that total, would u say thats a good base line to go by if u havent made a stompy?

easiest thing i can think of is to either bounce the flying creatures back or just to make them unusable.

ok one the long explanation was deff not needed.

other than that this deck seems pretty solid honestly. as for getting mana swamped, just put in some search lands to thin it out. maybe take out burst lightning for another memninte if anything and u might have to take out crystal ball as M11 is about to rotate out.

i agree its nice to see a rat deck with out a bunch of relentless rats. this one isnt bad the mana curve is fine really. rat decks move pretty fast as is. i would how ever take out at least one ratcatcher, 3 is a bit much.

here is one of my rats nest decks for some ideas. :http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=174073

deff a good build nik.

lol i like this alot. looks like u can have some fun with this one.

Soulkid: they werent part of the basic build since he is knew to magice and we older players know that they tend to get expensive with certain builds. but yes the cards u suggested would work very well here.

ok not that bad here, not worthy 50 bucks but not a bad deck. in order to abuse that crab though i would add some evolving wilds or terramorphic expanse other wise it isnt as affective as it could be.
personaly i would swap out the wall for initiate, it just goes better with the milling theme here. negate is good but it has its weaknesses, personaly i like mana leaks better. it cost the same amount and doesnt have a draw back. if its possiable, i deff would get my hands on at least 2 of jace belerene for here and put it in place of unsummon. other than that its not that bad of a deck for a rookie. =D
