Here is my decklist for a U/B control I'm thinking about running: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=251064

I don't think go for the throat is a good choice mainboard since i might run into tempered steel. And I've decided to run some Despise so I can get a turn 1 and/or 2 removal. I think that will get a good reaction since no-one really does anything turn 1 or 2 in Solar Flare.
Well maybe I was just unlucky against my mono-red match-ups cause I drew into my timelys just fine for the most part, but i just couldn't deal with all their creatures. I'm thinking about going a U/B route.
Since I put the Feeling of Dread in, I have not had a chance to playtest. I did a tournament and my only 2 losses were to mono red and I am just trying to tweak the deck to handle it cause it's very frustrating and I refuse to believe that my deck can't beat it. So my sideboard took a dramatic change and even the 2 Liliana of the Veil came out of the deck for another Snapcaster Mage and more removal.
You should not use fresh meat... and you should use green sun's zenith to grab birds and llanowars. also, you should use rampant growth and viridian emissary if you want to actually "ramp". and i would suggest 2 more lands
What's the point of it in your sideboard though? What would you side it in against? You don't need to make this a re-animator deck with unburial rites. I'm just suggesting the forbidden alchemy is an extremely powerful dig spell. You get to look 4 cards down, pick what you need, and throw everything else that sun titan can get back for you in the graveyard. Also, think about how you would deal with invisible stalker and/or thrun.
Snapcaster is good, but he doesn't run this deck. I recommend using mana leaks instead of negate since it can only deal with certain spells. I would also run 1 more Oblivion Ring and maybe think about Forbidden Alchemy to put things in your graveyard for Sun Titan to re-animate.
I've always struggled with mill decks in this format. They can mill a lot at a time but it just doesn't hav what it takes to survive long. I've had the most success with blue black. You might think about going that route for more board control. Also, this deck is not standard legal anymore.
i would stick with go for the throat and/or doom blade for creature removal over something so specific as victim of night. Also, i would drop your bloodling keepers to 2 or 3 to keep your mana curve as low as possible. and you pretty much HAVE to have 4 brimstone volley in this cause that card is off the hook! and maybe a couple devil's play too. finally i would take out the stromkirk patrol and the screeching bats(since they aren't actually a vampire until you flip it) and run vampire interloper for more early flyers and bloodcrazed neonate to keep your mana curve low and keep lots of pressure on your opponent to make blocks.
why run shimmering grotto in a two color deck? i recommend razorverge thicket or at least sunpetal groves
Call to the grave? Skaab Ruinator? Grave Titan?!?! Pump out them zombies!!!
My advice would be to chill out on the 4 ofs... spread out your options. Definitely get some oblivion rings and maybe a couple forbidden alchemy cause that card is sick, especially with snapcaster.
I agree with everything in this deck except for the feeling of dread... if it were me, I would run another dismember and 2 timely reinforcements. You're deck likes the tokens and the timely helps counteract the dismembers loss of life.
- sphinx, +sword
I would take out silent departure and put in disperse since you can bounce anything, not just creatures, and at instant speed. Also, I would take out memory's journey and dream twist and put in 2 or 3 Sword of Body and Mind and if you have them, a couple Jace, Memory Adept.
I didn't take the time to read all the comments so far so i'm not sure if what i'm gunna say has been said yet. But, I would take out the lawkeepers and give yourself an extra oblivion ring and a couple dismembers. Also, I would take out the moorland haunts and add in a 4th inkmoth and another island/plains. Otherwise, I love the idea, and it seems really legit. The only other thing is if, you're going against a deck that doesn't run many creatures, the divine reckoning is pretty pointless since the Overseer is enough to beat with by itself. But you can always side them out :).
I'm glad someone else thought to use the invisible stalker as the new "caw"!!! check out my version of this and let me know what you think!
-4 assault strobe +4 vampiric fury -4 gruesome deformity +4 brimstone volley gruesome deformity does not guarantee you an unblocked creature, and brimstone volley can take out almost anything, especially after morbid is active. Not to mention that it can go directly at a players head too.
i would suggest taking out the stromkirk patrol and night revelers and put in 4 stromkirk noble. Also I would take out all of the 4 bumps, 4 gruesome deformity, and the 4 tribute to hunger. All are ok, but the deck would be better off with spot removal like a couple devil's play and 4 brimstone volley. And it can't hurt to drop a few curse of stalked prey either...
lots more creatures... lots less spells
