You wanna get really mean, throw platinum angel in there, make it impossible to win unless they play something like worldfire or apocalypse

I generally stick away from it for that same reason, its expensive haha, but i recently dabbled in the area, it's what everyone around me plays and i was annoyed i never had standard decks to join in on

Tell you the truth I've seen alot of decks like that, but i don't know enough about them to really give valuable advice, I can see the horror they hold, but never seen it in play against anything haha, rough day with karakas haha, i woulda been pissed =p

Black from what I've seen if competitive goes alot with reanimate, the big combo to look out for is usually dark ritual, entomb, and reanimate/animate dead. With that it's a big ole mean Iona, emeria of the shield, or sheoldren, whispering one, blazing archon, or something like that depending on the deck they are facing.

Also I see alot of storm in black, mixing dark ritual, ad nauseam and all the zero drop artifacts, then tendrils of agony.

Black I mostly see reanimate with that combo if its going to be considered competitive.

In my opinion, i see what you're going for here but I have some recommendations. I would drop cinder elemental, beacon of destruction, and cinder pyromancer, they look appealing at first but they are entirely too slow. Instead up burn at the stake to 3, krenko to 3, and put in either some mana ramp like battle hymn, or goblin arsonist would be a great addition =]

My take? I have mixed thoughts about it, mostly because it's the one format that gives you pretty much infinite room for originality in your deck, but when it comes to tournaments originality is far from what I see. If you name a color or colors I basically know what will probably be ran.

This is mostly due to how competitive the format is and you gotta be ready for the worst in the first few turns. I just wish more originality could be used in that area. This is the main reason I like modern alot more, I feel I can make a more original tournament modern deck than an original legacy tournament deck.

This is just my opinion of course but I'd love to see a legacy deck that would wow me, something that'll make me say I've never thought of that before.

Naturally legacy casual is a whole other story haha =p

haha I thought so, but hey its not too horrible if theprice goes down, and makes people have to go another route with dragonstorm... haha granted bogarden hellkite really isnt another route, its more known than any other combo i know ha... he'd be a fun edh card if they allow it eventually

why hand of emrakul? instead of kozilek, butcher of truth, pathrazer of ulamog, artisan of kozilek, it that betrays, or ulamog, the infinite gyre. All better choices than hand of emrakul

seething song to play stuffy doll turn 3, and run 4 blasphemous act. If you want you could even try running indestructibility. Shivan meteor is good as well in these type of decks. If have you have the money, you can get boros reckoner =p

It that betrays cost like 8 or 9 dollars still, pathrazer is pretty mean, stormtide leviathan is pretty fun, Also check out sheoldren, whispering one, he's not too horribly expensive.

If you get the money you should totally run iona, avacyn, and sheoldren

You should remove grave titan for 2 avacyn, angel of hope, and 2 Iona, shield of emeria

Sooo, I was wondering about this, does the new legend rule now pretty much ruin dragonstorm decks that use kokusho? Is bogarden hellkite now the way to go with probably karrthus?

Yea but you can only run so hard til your hand runs outs, and when that happens you'll be at a standstill, griselbrand will at least replenish your hand
