I'm sorry but that combo doesn't work. Merrow Reejery is only when you cast a Merfolk spell, not when a Merfolk enters the battlefield. The Schoolmaster token won't cause you to untap anything.

I'm not sure how well it would fit in this deck, but look at Bloodchief's Ascension. If its active with a Mindcrank out, then once anything hits their graveyard from anywhere, its pretty much infinite damage, life gain, and mill until you win.
It copies the creature, not any bonuses. Look at Gatherer's rulings, "The targeted Shapeshifter copies the printed values of the targeted creature, plus any copy effects that have been applied to it. It won't copy counters on that creature. It won't copy effects that have changed the creature's power, toughness, types, color, and so on." So the copy doesn't get to repetitively get the Crucible's bonus.
Nice! I remember commenting on your other self mill deck, but I see you built a whole deck on the combo I suggested. Looks like fun, good job.
You know that there is an actual legal card with the same cost and effect? Barren Glory. And I love using Enchanted Evening and Patricion's Scorn with floating mana to cast Barren Glory. Everything is wiped, lands and all. So unless they have a land and a 1 mana enchantment removal in hand, its good game.
I don't really do that much legacy, but an average cost of around $750 is budget??
Looks good. Just curious, is the single Stalked Prey worth it in here? I can see how it would help the Invisible Stalker, but I think other cards might help you more. And Evolving Wilds is amazing in a tri-color deck, but I would suggest Drowned Catacombs instead of them here. Please check out my curses deck, I tried going creatureless to win solely through curses, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=292076.
Is Tempered Steel worth it with the coupe artifact creatures, even with Silverskin Armor? I would suggest adding Porcelain Legionnaire to this deck though.
I would definitely suggest adding more Curse of Thirst since they all stack. And since you are already running blue, I would suggest you add or look into Curse of Echoes. And I'm not sure if you are planning on this being standard or not, because everything in the deck is except PtE. I love the idea of a curses deck, and check out mine, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=292076.
Also, either one lets me look at their hand, so playing in the first couple turns lets me know what they have and what to play around or what be ready for.
You would suggest holding the them in hand. The Distress/Despise are in there to be able to remove creatures that my kill spells couldn't deal with before they hit the battlefield so that I'd be able to survive until I can get some curses on the board.
Nice deck. I had never thought of using semblance anvil in this type of deck and I will definitely look into it. Check out my curses deck and let me know what you think, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=292076.
I like the idea, but I have to point out some things. First, your deck only has 59 cards maindeck, and 14 sideboard. Just a little short on both. And second, do you really need 31 lands?
It is for goblins too as well. The reason the furnace is awesome is that it turns every spawn you have on the board into a colorless shock in your hand.
Deck Edit: I decided to take out the Curse of Exhaustion. I realized that if I get a Curse of Misfortunes on my opponent that there are several other curses that I would rather tutor for.
Looks interesting, but I would suggest cutting back a little on the enchantments and adding some other spells. Check out my curses deck and let me know what you think, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=292076.
I see that you have Laboratory Maniacs in there. A tip for an awesome combo with that card in this type of deck that also protects you in case you mill the Maniac, would swap one of them out for a single Memory's Journey. That way, even if both cards get milled, on your upkeep, flashback the Journey and shuffle only the Maniac into your deck. Draw him for the turn and cast him, and then wait until your next draw. At that point, you'd win. If at any time before then, if your opponent tries to kill your Maniac, use any instant way to draw a card in response, you could use the Archivist, personally I use Think Twice. Then you will draw and win before the Maniac ever dies.
Exactly that, that is why there is only one of them in the deck. And although it is not the only way, that is probably the main way that Curse of Echoes will hit the field as well.
Exactly, and one reason the Curse of Echoes is there is that against any blue deck, if they try to counter anything, I'll copy the counter and use it against them.
Does Gideon Jura really help this deck? As far as suggested additions, I'd definitely add Midnight Haunting, Parallel Lives, Gavony Township, and Vault of the Archangel
