Channel of the Suns is good and all but waiting for that green mana is annoying. Better a colourless bad boy that you can summon faster.
Check out my version of your deck. It's called Card Drawing Monstrosity It is still a work in progress like yours.
So your main focus is Etched Monstrosity? The why not focus on how to get the mana requirement then, why noy use Composite Golem. You can focus on card drawing or searching using Fabricate or Thoughtcast to get the combo faster. Maybe use Master Transmuter so that you can keep switching between artifacts in your hand. Hope these were of some help. Might just do a deck similar to yours.
Sorry that I wasn't very clear but I did this in a rush and forgot to give the strategy. :(
Nice EDH deck!! Check out my deck: Kaalia's Deck of Horrors http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=215818
If you want that added "Oomph", why not use Myr Propagator and Palladium Myr with Grand Architect and Myr Galvanizer? You'd essentially get infinite myr tokens. As an added bonus, look into Ruthless Invasion. It makes your creatures unblockable for a very small price. Good idea, keep it up.
A highly original standard deck. Well done.
Brilliant as always. Keep it up.
Bludgeon Brawl is the reason why he's in there.
This was the non-extended version of the deck. Hence why no Swords of the Meek.
There are many ways to alter the original Affinity to be more competitive and still keep to the same theme of getting as many cards in play and swinging with a large creature. It depends on your knowledge of what cards are out there and what cards are available to you. Raggedjoe's example is just one way of making an Affinity deck.
Hi raggedjoe, Here is my modernised deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=179694 next to my original deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=10224 I would really like you to comment on them when you have the chance.
Awsome deck. I personally hate Arcbound Ravager and prefer having Acrbound Crusher instead, but if it siuts you go with it. ;) Heck I think this deck will give my Affinity deck a run for its money. Lol You just gave me a nostalgic moment here. I built my Affinity deck just as the set came out, used to beat the original Affinity deck everytime just cos I used Crusher instead of Ravager. Keep up the good work.
If you wish to speed things up might I suggest Paradox Haze and Divining Top. They are pretty good in combination with the quest. I'd suggest you put some counter spells in sideboard just in case you come against a faster opponent.
Here is an interesting combo for you: Bronze Bombshell + Endless Whispers combined with Confusion in the Ranks makes for a good game finisher. Check it out you'll love it. ;) Btw very good deck, would also suggest a few counterspells to protect the enchantments like Dash of Hopes.
Nice deck. Please check you my extended version called: Kuldotha says: "Cry me a River!!!" http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=177091
Thanks for the suggestion.
Interesting combination. Keep it up.
I suggest you use Scatter the Seeds for a faster token generation. As per the damage factor I am pretty impressed that you manage that much by turn 6. My decks are very slow compared to this though they pack a lot more damage that this since I create more tokens. Check out this deck: Extended Saproling Jund You might like it.
