----------------------------------------------
Deck is working much better now. Everyone has some form of artifact removal these days, so it makes sense to keep the Buried Ruins in the main deck. Even if i don't need the recovery, i can use the colorless mana.

How to Play

Use Ancient Stirrings to find Liquimetal Coating or Myr Landshaper, and/or lands.
Target lands and key permanents with Myr/LC, then blow them up.
Once you've destroyed enough, use Hoard-Smelter Dragon to end it.

Deck discussion for T-1000 BBQ 2017

Splinter Exiles target artifact and all cards with the same name in the opponent's hand, graveyard, and library.

Surgical Extraction is free (well, 2 life) to Exile any card in the graveyard that's not a basic land (yes, it can hit nonbasic lands) and all cards with the same name in the opponent's hand, graveyard, and library.

Ancient Grudge with its flashback for {G} hits two artifacts.

I'm going to pass on surgical extraction, I see the value - and even the tie in with the art and the metallic looking spine/skull. I feel like the deck has card advantage issues and having a two-step removal from the game(unlike splinter which is amazing) gives up too much of my hand. I just don't have good ways to keep my hand populated.

Do you have any suggestions for that particular problem?
I'm also feeling like there is too much card diversity in the deck. What would you remove and what would you fully populate to 4 cards that I don't have at 4?

Sorry for sounding stupid, but why are you playing Eidolon if the majority of your spells are 3 mana or less?

I agree with Anon, you'll end up killing yourself before your opponent. If you replace Eidolon with Myr Landshaper, it can act as a secondary Liquimetal Coating while being able to kill your opponent by attacking.

I was going to suggest Tunnel Ignus or even Zo-Zu for opponent land punishment.
Was also going to suggest Undergrowth Champion or Scute Mob as blockers and finishers.

Generally planning to play Eidolon off-curve. Kinda threw him in because i had him sitting around and figured I could just speed things up a little until I destroy enough lands to win with roiling terrain.

I do like the Zo-Zu suggestion - The new, more expensive, Ankh of Mishra. I was wondering if it got replaced. Not really planning on adding other creatures though - it'd just be a swap for eidolon. I'd rather burn creatures to death instead. :D

Ankh of Mishra isn't exactly new, it just recently got a new print. It's also not Modern legal, if you care about that.

@DedWards: Right I was saying that Zo-Zu is the 'new' Ankh, and it's just more expensive to cast.
