Deck Description

* Creature-heavy deck focused o overwhelming your opponent with creatures empowered by battle cry or Sorin.
* Contains a lot of first strikers, its easier to keep them alive when they attack with +X/+0 (opponent cant trade 1 for 1 as easily)
* Because there are none boosting enchantments or lords, Mentor of the Meek triggers virtually everytime you cast a spell (well except Odric and Hero of Bladehold)
* A lot of creatures has side-effect to help deal with threats: Fiend Hunter, Grand Abolisher, sideboarded Thalia, War Priest of Thune, Leonin Relic-Warder and Banisher Priest

Deck discussion for WB Battlecry Mastery: Modern

WOW! I really like this deck! I love how your creatures are sort of like instances and sorceries in themselves. Like how fiend hunter is basically an oblivion ring for creatures and how Grand Abolisher is like a silent for your turn. Splashing black for Sorin is a real nice idea :D I've been thinking of how to splash a color into my deck and this gave me a nice idea :D
My ONLY dislike about the deck is signal pest just because if he is alone then he's a little useless. I would actually replace with Accorder Paladin just because he's stronger and has the same ability even though he does cost 1 more. Though Signal Pest does "technically" have flying he still does no damage that I can see.
BUT other than that the deck looks pretty awesome :D

Thank you, I love it when my decks inspire others. (That is one reason I started posting on mtgvault.)
The black is here actually for three reasons: Sorin, Lingering Souls, Vault of the Archangel.
White has nice supply of creatures with sweet effects attached to them so I tried to make every spell into immediate board presence preferably with utility effect. Sideboard focuses on utility creatures even more. Thalia against control. Banisher Priest and Frontline Medic against creature-heavy decks. War Priest of Thune and Leonin Relic Warden against aura decks and artifact decks and others.
In fact I considered Accorder Paladin. I can explain my thought behind Signal Pest: Accorder Paladin is strong, but too fragile. He baits trade with anything, basically, he never survives his first attack if an opponent has blocker. Signal Pest has evasion and is more subtle threat, so he tends to stay on battlefield and do his job longer. Sometimes, he even deals damage, with another battlecryer or with Sorins emblem. Also, he fits better on the mana curve :-) (him and doomed traveler makes for optimal 8 one-drops)

Yes I can see how your deck works and I am quite interested haha.
The splashed black was a very nice touch
Now that you explain it I do see why you picked Signal Pest. And hey to each it's own. It's either power or evasion and you went with evasion which is always awesome. I suppose either one would work. But you are right it is a great 1 drop :D Either way it's an awesome deck!
