Deck Description

This is the deck I'm working on for Friday Night Magic. I went to my first tournament and basically just bought some boosters and two of "The Adventurers" intro packs since I didn't have any cards for standard. The deck was originally R/G but I've added white because of the really decent allies. The deck is a work in process. This will probably be a little project for a while to see how far I can go with it.

Use the powers of your various allies to build up threats such as Oran-Rief Survivalist and Kazandu Blademaster. Power them up with Beastmaster Ascension. Protect your allies using Dauntless Escorts, Kabira Evangels, and Vines of Vastwood. Destroy your opponent's threats with Oblivion Rings and Lightning Bolts. Finally, strike through their defenses using Kabira Evangels and Naya Charms.

with these colors, you really need to be running 4 jungle shrines.
Cards that are not great for this deck:
Tajuru Archer
Joraga Bard
Borderland Ranger
Trusty Machete

run 2 more highland berserkers (cheap allies are always fantastic) increase the white mana base, and run some kazandu blademasters and ondu clerics. Maybe consider Dauntless Escort, since your allies are particularly vulnerable to removal.

Thanks for the advice. I've increased the Highland Berserker count by removing the Trusty Machetes. Unfortunately those are the only cards I actually have that you have recommended. I have the Jungle Shrines, Kazandu Blademasters, and Ondu Clerics on the way though since I found them for cheap.
