Rather than trying to counter eldrazi proactively, I would counter more off the cuff. Leyline of the Void is amazing for this; especially since you're running half black anyways.

I was actually trying to do something like this myself recently, but I like what I see. I don't know if you just don't have them, but I would run drowned catacomb rather than darkslick shores; as it is just a better dual land in my opinion.
You sir have forced me into an epiphany. I have my own mill deck and have been struggling with trying to "speed it up" to get the other out of cards faster. Having played blue for quite some time I am astounded at how silly I am for not having realized that what I needed to do was force the match to slow down so I could win at my leisure.
Yeah, this is a good idea, I agree with those who came before me. I have two links, but they are kind of the same deck in different phases, but I'm not sure which is better and would like help with both builds Mark II - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=149863 Mark III - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=152016
The card is called Bloodchief's Ascension, but the problem is I won't be regularly damaging my opponent. Not even with creatures, the deck is much more defensive than offensive, so attacking with my creatures is not really the goal. I did think about Archmage Ascension, but I think that would foul up Jace's Erasure by the rules as written.
