So the darksteels combine for a win condition? This deck starts really fast but If I were you I'd put in a couple artifact lands and some draw cards.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=50216 is a better elf deck.
I have a similar deck that is pure green and focuses more on simply getting as many beefy tokens on the field as possible. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=50216
Okay I've moved to using creatures and I got rid of earthquake. I'll rely on burn spells solely for creature killing now.
I appreciate this well-made deck. I am looking through many elf decks and while this one doesn't offer much in terms of new radical ideas it follows the 60 cards and using four of a card as often as possible. there are so many terrible decks out there. Thank you.
This is a cool deck. It goes in the opposite direction my deck goes, trying to win with pumped up creatures. I'm thinking that trample would be pretty useful to you. I don't know very many cards but both Brawn and Loxodon Warhammer might be of use.
I made this Pay X deck a little while ago. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=49720
For example: a two-drop creature spell is worthless compared to a XF Gain life equal to x card when each player has eight lands out.
Thanks for your help! I added the first few cards you mentioned to the list because they are all great picks. However I have not yet added vine trellis, Rosheen Meanderer, and Silent Arbiter because I'm not sure they fit into the idea. You see I was going to keep the field clear of creatures by killing them with my x spells. If I have creatures they will die to cards like savage twister, molten disaster, or starstorm. I was also hoping on subsidizing my life with some cards. I figured that if I can keep the board empty for a while then every card I draw will be worth much more than each card my opponent draws because of how much land is out.
This is a very cool deck. You make decks the same way I do. Pick a handful of cards and build a strategy around them. I would be very unhappy playing against this deck, watching the turns count down faster and faster until my defeat. If you could, I'd really appreciate help with the second deck I've created on this site. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=49720
To me it seems like the combo in this deck is unlikely to happen because it centers around just two cards. Also, when you double up on turns so does your opponent and it doesn't seem like you take advantage of this enough in this deck. What if you combined this idea with blue control so that you could progressively tap more and more creatures without the opponent getting an un-tap step. I guess it doesn't seem like a dominant enough deck to warrant the wait. If I am misunderstanding it please tell me. Also if you have any spare time please help me create this deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=49720
How does Raven Guild master help this deck? You ought to be able to end the game before they draw out right? Or is that the plan?
1. it isn't creature less so it doesn't fall in this category. 2. Everyone here is underestimating damage done by deserts. 3. this deck could be very helpful in 2v2 play.
try to bring it down to 60 cards for more consistency. Deciding which cards are best and getting rid of the others will also make the deck better overall.
