Deck Description

I pay five dollars, and my opponent gets a nasty burning sensation.

Concept - I hate expensive decks, and therefore Type II tournaments. This deck is designed purely around spite - cheap creature control and LD. No rares, as few uncommons as I can get away with.

Thoughts: I tried to go lean/mean. Shocks, Bolts, and Edicts for early control, Pooling Venom for land control on turn 2. Turn 4 opens up all LD. Win condition is Fists on any creature. Main concern - not enough creatures?

Deck discussion for Five Dollar Hooker

Additional thoughts -

The sideboard is unfinished. Avalanche Riders topped my "maybe" list, but didn't quite make it in.

Memory Sluice is a maybe, but it's very cheap removal of potentially multiple lands, as well as other cards. I'm tempted to boost that to 4, and decrease Rain of Tears to 2.

Only 8 creatures feels potentially bad. If the deck is functioning at all, the removal should make it so I don't need more, but it also increases how long it takes to win...

the memory sluices(4) are a must in ur deck. if ur trying for a control deck, put in a couple cursecatchers. they are cheap to play, but are uncommon

R/B land destruction doesnt work in standard no matter how hard you try there isnt enough good land destruction spells you would have better luck in extended and in legacy you have lot of good spells but LD fails in the format

A good pair up with land kill is hand kill. I would seriously consider running mono black. With so many of your cards being split mana cards do you really need red? Out of Eventide is another land kill card similar to Poison the Well however the card is black/green split and it nets you 2 life. I recommend hand kill to stall them out long enough to lay waste to their lands. If you were to run mono black I'd suggest dropping the Manaforge Cinder for another cheap black creature.
