You have no discard spells in the deck. The kind of negates the claim that this is a discard deck. :P You actually look more like you wanted to go control/mill but hit a bump and changed your mind midway.

While I do agree that Archive Trap would be hilarious in response to Tinker, more mill than that and you're no longer running discard. So! Here are my suggestions.

-4 Traumatize, +4 Liliana's Caress
-4 Cancel, +4 Horrifying Revelation
-4 Melancholy, +4 Distress/ Duress/ Mind Rot/ Psychic Miasma/ Small Pox/ Perplex / Recoil/ discard of choice
-2 Island & 1-2 Megrim, + 3-4 Whatever you didn't choose from the above for that choice
-2 Diabolic Tutor, +2Liliana Vess

Plus, there are soooo many U/B lands, you definitely want to be running those. And Melancholy got removed because the first time you forget to pay the cost, it blows up. Paying that upkeep cost will only slow you down in the end, you're better off just making it so that he can never cast the Blightsteel. Another way to do this would be to run Leyline of the Void or something similar so that when he discards the Blightsteel, it gets exiled immediately. :)

This isn't the best list, my experience playing/building discard is minimal, but it's a start. Since this is casual/T1, I assume, there's lots of ways to exploit the large pool you have to choose from for cards that use both colors (both Perplex and Recoil are U/B). Just search the databases here. :)

Almost forgot you still had 8 slots to fill, too. Throw in Ravenous Rats, any of the Specters, Sangromancer, maybe Jace's Archivist to make him draw more cards that you can force him to discard. :) Going creature-less isn't necessary when there are so many creatures that can fit here.

Nice deck... but I do see a conflict between two cards.
Liliana Vess's last ability lets you put all creature cards from all graveyards onto the battlefield under your control.
Leyline of the Void says that if a card would be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead. (This pretty much cancels out Vess's last ability)
